Secrets of Success

Change Jar

Keep a change jar and when you spend cash get the change back and put it in the jar. Never use change to pay with stuff. Sooner than you'd think you have 10, 20 or even $50 in just a few weeks.

We also save all change & deposit in to separate account for Christmas. Really a help & it adds up quickly, nice not having the stress or bills coming.. - by IMALOSEIN
  • We are doing this and everyone in the family contributes. Our plan is to take one of those "once in a life-time" trips and have the change pay for something extra on the trip. We have a glass vase sitting in plain sight and when that fills up I empty it into a larger container which is hidden in our home.

Even the kids like contributing! We have already saved a few hundred dollars! - by SKENFIELD
We do this too & then every summer we wrap it & take it to the bank for a family gift. It ends up usually close to $300. We bought a Wal-mart pool one year, one year we stayed over at Darien Lake theme park. The kids love to help roll it & see how much we get. - by TULLY2U
