Secrets of Success

Homemade Body Scrub

I'm not very crafty or do it yourself, but I have a body scrub addiction and it was starting to cost too I looked into doing it myself and it was so easy! I use good ol' white sugar (you can also use salt or brown sugar for varying textures - I like it rough) and I mixed it with lime infused olive oil. I had that as a gift and am unsure of how much it would cost to buy, but you could use plain olive oil also and then just add some essential oils for yummy scents.

More Information:

I put the sugar in first and then add oil to the desired consistency. My skin is so soft and I feel good that all my ingredients are natural and there is no packaging waste.

  • I want to try, could you put together a recipe for me? - by SWITALAINC
  • I have been making my own body and facial scrubs for a couple of years now. Depending on the texture I want I can switch them up using sugar or Kosher salt or table salt.
    Olive oil works great.

I love making my own body scrub. You can turn it into a mild facial scrub/mask too, by using honey instead of oil. - by BOOKWORM2011
