Don'T Go Nuts Over Nuts



Walnuts and almonds are satisfying to munch on, but don't eat them too much. A sandwich bag of homeade trailmix can set you back over a 1000 calories in a day.

  • I love nuts, but they are high in calories, so I measure them with a tablespoon. I usually eat no more than 2 tablespoons, which is one half of the serving size on the package (1 quarter cup). I also go for the raw unsalted nuts you can find at the health food store. They have a delicious, delicate flavor. Using the nutrition tracker and planning ahead helps me control the nuts instead of them controlling me!
