Eat Meat?

If you eat a lot meat, there is a good way to save money on it. Buy an entire pig or cow. It does cost an extreme amount of money to buy, but it lasts about a year and in the end you actually save a large amount of money because you don't need to buy meat for that entire year.

  • We bought 1/2 a pig and 1/4 cow when we first moved to the town we live in now (last Aug). We don't have much left..some porkchops and sausage and ground beef and soup bones. It was a pretty good deal as we rarely have had to buy any meat except chicken or seafood. We're going to look into buying chickens this year...hope we have the freezer space. oh..and buying bulk in cow means a lot of ground beef. A LOT of ground beef!
