Keeping The Kitchen Clean After Dinner

I clean my kitchen thoroughly after dinner. I load the dishwasher and set the timer. I make lunch for the next day as I'm cleaning up. Then I set up the coffee maker for the next morning. Finally, I wipe and polish the sink, taps etc and dry the sink. My kitchen is sparkling and I don't need to go there except to get a glass of water!!! It is a great way of avoiding those snacking binges that happen later in the evening when I pass thru the kitchen!! emoticon

  • I remember when I was growing up, and we'd wander into the kitchen after dinner and my mom yelling "Kitchen's closed!" meaning we had better not make a mess. That kept us from snacking much. (She would make us something if we were absolutely starving though!) - by WANNABEVERYFIT
  • I hate seeing dishes in the sink. My DH had always said the same thing. Leave them until morning! Ha! by then they are a big crusty mess. No thank you! I am a clean as I go person always! Nice hint! - by DGRAZIA
  • I read this about 2 weeks ago and i love going to the kitchen, Last night I was out and dishes were in the sink. We have a dishwasher but with just the 2 of us we rarely use it. I am the early riser so he does not see the mess.
