    Um. False? I put to you that millions of people each year fast for 18's called Ramadan. Missing breakfast will NOT put you into starvation mode. That is a myth. It just is. Your metabolism will not shut down, you will not pass out, it will not end your world. It's ok. I regularly fast for 18 hours at a clip and it actually encourages your body to burn the fat that your body has been storing for the "lean" times. That is one of the problems of our society. There are no LEAN times any more. We are so worried that our metabolism is going to stop that we can't allow ourselves to go more than 4 to 6 hours without eating. Unlike when we were cave men and we actually burn the fat that our bodies store. - by ODIROM
