Freezing Extra Food!



I used to think my mom was crazy for buying things like bread and cheese when it was on sale (or sold in bulk) and freezing it. But now I realize she had a good idea! I haven't tried freezing any of those things, but the other night I made some whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce - for myself - and had a ton of extra sauce. I knew I wouldn't use the whole jar before it went bad, so I stuck it in the freezer until next time! It also saves TIME if you prepare dishes ahead of time!

  • I freeze leftovers to take for lunch, then I know exactly what portion it is and the calories. you can freeze canned whipped cream just thaw it in the refridgerator. also when I'm chopping vegetables if I don't use all of it I freeze the extra and use it for cooking - by NEWJULIE2008
