Choose A Favorite And Say No To The Rest

If you have a "trigger food" or binge item, one thing that helps me is to decide only to eat one type. I'll have a small serving of strawberry ice cream but say no to every other flavor or brand, just to keep from eating it except as a special "treat." Make a decision it is not worth it unless you have your choice - choose to say no otherwise.

  • Great tip except that sometimes there are enough servings around that it still can trigger me to overeat because I don't stop at 1 ice cream serving or 1 cookie.... So I go back and forth on whether to have none or some of sweets or chocolate or ice cream, or cookies, for example. - by PONYTROT
  • I've heard the same thing about holidays & parties when there are just millions of foods available. They say to just pick your one favorite thing that's available, and just enjoy a reasonable portion of that and say NO to all the rest! - by STRINGI719
  • This is a great tip~ - by KARLYNCANDOIT
