  • This isn't necesarily true. There are articles on spark people that sort of debunk this. See this article, especiall the last paragraph:

not everyone can exercise on an empty stomach, or before bed. I need to have something to eat before I do any kind of exercise, and if I exercise before bed, I don't get to sleep for a couple more hours. - by MORETA63
  • i didnt know that,,, from now on i make sure i exercise befotre eating breakfast or going to sleep - by XMILOAGO
This information is not true. Exercise burns the same number of calories whenever you do it. Exercise whenever it is best for your schedule!
Spark needs an "unlike" button - some of these member submitted "secrets" are nothing more than fitness myths.. I'm surprised Spark allows these myths to be perpetuated :( - by COLLOMR
  • I would also have to disagree with this. There haven't been any studies showing that you burn more calories at any certain time of day. If anything I would think that you need to find the time that works for you that you exert the most energy. I tried an AM exercise routine, and I only gave about 60 percent than if I go at 6:30 each their own. - by ROXY91607
