  • Hello, I have type2 diabetes, no meds.
    I ride a bike most days 20 to 50 kilometers. I mix 1cup blueberries, 1cup strawberries, 1 lemon with peelings, 1 avacado add some water and drink this during the ride. Check my blood when I get back and it is between 3.5 and 4.2. This is about an hour after finishing the drink. Is this an OK habit. - by BUCEYE

  • Thanks for the tip - I didn't know cabbage & tomatoes were included. Now I can make a complete salad that will satisfy my snack needs without being concerned by a big spike. I'm a Type II, but Insulin dependent, using tight control methods. I just got my latest A1c back and it was an all-time low of 5.8! - by POPEYETHETURTLE
