Secrets of Success

Get Acquainted With Your Local Senior Center.

Even if you are a youngster! Senior Centers may have homemade crafts for sale for a reasonable price. They may have books, magazines, or jigsaw puzzles you can borrow. They may offer classes for free, also.

They are also a 'fount' of information, a good resource to know about.

It's worth an outing.

  • I belong to 2 Senior Centers in 2 different states and it's true that they are not equal. It's not that 1 is better than the other it's just that they are different. Each 1 offers some of the same classes and also different classes. One may charge and the other may not. I do like both for their different programs. - by MOTTAMAMALOU
  • This is a good idea, but Centers are not created equally. Yours maybe better than others. Try Therapy Centers, they often have exercise programs available at low cost to anyone. The Cities Recreation Program may have something to offer in the way of low cost exercise, craft, etc. programs. - by XANADUREALM
  • I just joined a senior center and was surprised at the exercise equipment free to use. I will probably quit my gym now and use the center's equipment. - by SLEEKKITTY
