Secrets of Success

Slowing Down

I am recently recovering from some health issues so I was unable to be real active. I am now catching up with the things I neglected, but I know I need to take things slow. I was thinking on my way home from the store, keep the pace slow. Take time to do the everyday things. Don't be in such a hurry to get everything accomplished. I make a small list every day and mark things off as I get them done. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and I am slowing down.

  • I completely agree! After injuries we need to take things at a little slower pace. I'm not losing weight as fast as I thought, however I am losing so that's the important thing to remember.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  • I am on vacation right now and feeling a little bad that I gained 5+ pounds after the holidays. I am slowing down during this relaxing time- away from the fast pace. I agree its so important to stop and think through what the plan is for the day and KEEP IT DOABLE. Thanks for your thoughts! - by MINNIEAPPLE
  • I'm recovering from an injury, and I've noticed this too! I'm in such a hurry to get better that I run the risk of making my injury worse and ruining my recovery. I love the advice to slow down and appreciate little things. A good message for everyone. - by OFFBEATEMILY
