Portion Control



Buy meat in bulk... divide ground beef, chicken, etc... Freeze in individual portions in Ziplock baggies... when you want to make a dish, you just grab a bag... defrosts quick... also cheaper than buying smaller packages.

If you're cooking for 2 a lot... make portions for 2... and so on.

  • I've been doing this for years. Saves money & headaches!
    I freeze chicken parts, pork chops, etc on a cookie sheet with a little non-stick spray. Makes 'em easy to bag, and they stay separate! - by EVERLEARNING

    I freeze chicken breasts individually and then wrap them in plastic wrap and put them in large ziploc bags - lots of chicken breasts in one bag - easier to manage in the freezer, but I can take out only what I need for a particular use/recipe - - by KAKIPOPUP
