Secrets of Success

Yes, Boil It

To help cut some of the fat of hamburger meat you can boil it. I know it sounds crazy but it works and doesn't hurt the flavor. If you break up and boil your hamburger for spaghetti or tacos you can then drain and rinse. Throw it back in the pan and cook like normal. A lot of the fat washes away.

I do this especially with Frozen Ground Beef or Turkey Patties, I pour off the water and grease just before they're done, then heat to brown it a little. - by SHELLPROOF
