Secrets of Success

Home Defense Works!

This is an odorless, colorless insecticide. I noticed ants coming into my apartment in my bathroom and at the entrance. I discovered they were coming out of a hole at the base of my toilet, so I gave it a spray there and around my entrance, and all I have seen are dead ants by that hole and no live ones anywhere. I use the spray around any place bugs can come in, around the base boards, window sills, etc. I get no spiders or anything surviving. Bug free!

More Information:

Do not use on food preparation surfaces. Keep pets and children away from it for one hour to allow it to dry. Highly toxic to aquatic life, so don't use near an aquarium. Can be found at Wal*Mart and Canadian Tire. The company name is Ortho that makes it.

  • The first thing we do after setting up our RV in a campground is spray Home Defense around everything that touches the ground. Once in awhile if we've had a lot of rain we have to reapply. It keeps us bug free within our rig. - by JENAANN3
  • It's made my Scotts Ortho. I LOVE this stuff! - by MOODY9
  • I think they are referring to Ortho Home Defense. Love the stuff! We had an ant infestation (in my toddler's room and crib!), the apartment guys say they sprayed 3 times but were just getting worse. The first time worked well, after the second time I haven't seen an ant since! It also works really well on spiders, but I'm terrified so I spray every few months. No spiders, even with a crack under the door! - by GRNSMOMMA1
