Olive Oil In Cake



If I need to make a cake for any occassion I use Extra light Olive Oil instead of regular vegetable or canola oil. Works great and there is no taste difference!

    I have done this, but with a white cake it looked a little green due to the "first cold pressing" of the olive oil. - by CJPJHM

  • I also do this and it works! I have even used the classic or regular olive oil and cannot taste the difference. Usually, I also use either egg whites or Egg Beaters. (Both my husband and I need to reduce fat and cholesterol for health reasons.) - by SNARDEESNIFF
