Green Cleaning

I use white vinager to clean just about everything. I keep a spray bottle with 1/2 vinager and 1/2 water. I use it to wash windows, floors, bathrooms, laundry, and carpet stains. it is a great sanitizer and deodorizer. the vinager smell will go away. Baking soda and vinager help clean drains.

I do this too! I haven't picked up a mop in years... I keep a bottle of Vinegar and Water (labeled with a Sharpie "V & W") and spray a little on the ceramic tile kitchen floor, then use an old towel and walk around and wipe it. Great for quick spot cleaning if you hate dirty floors like I do. You know if you have enough vinegar if spots clean up easily.

I keep another bottle in the laundry room for the underarms of sweaty shirts - I read about this tip on the internet and it really works. This is especially great if you have a teenager who tends to hide dirty clothes in mysterious places for awhile.

Related item: I have a spray bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap and Water for the wood floors. Only a tiny bit of Murphy's goes a long way and you don't want to use too much or it might dull the finish. Old towel to dry and remove the dirt. - by EMMASOUTH502
do you have any "green" ideas for dusting wood furniture...that's the one thing i need to start doing emoticon - by JAPOPE1
  • I also use vinegar for lots of things, even cleaning my fruits and vegtables, I spray it on and rinse it off, I keep a small spray bottle of vinegar near my kitchen sink, it is great. - by MERRYMARY42
