Secrets of Success

Meal Planning

Hubbie and I plan meals for the week every Sun. Knowing what's for dinner all week allows time to defrost what's needed or buy it on our regular shopping trip rather than emergency trips. Knowing what's for dinner helps with lunch planning (leftovers) and keeping a calorie watch on the other meals

It really makes sense to do this. The joke in our house was to be the first to ask "what's for dinner?"; that meant the other one needed to come up with an idea. Big struggle some nights. We started planning together too and found out that although it took a bit of negotiating we really liked not having to guess what the next meal would be. It also helped on "planned overs" so that the refrigerator didn't overflow with little plastic containers.
Check out my "menu shuffle" organization tip. It's what we ended up doing to make it even easier to plan.
    Thanks for your tip!
