Rice Cooker/brown Rice



My brown rice was terrible!! Always gummy and yucky. I read a SP article that said Brown Rice was tricky to cook but that a rice cooker will turn out perfect rice every time. I just went to BB&B and bought one for 18.00 w/coupon. I'm hoping it will work and encourage more whole grains for me.

  • I always add more water to the rice cooker for brown rice. It "tricks" the cooker to cook it longer. Happy Eating - by SISSYFEB48
  • You may need to experiment a little with how much water to add for brown rice and other grains, but a rice cooker is definitely your friend. It can also help to soak brown rice for 30 minutes before you cook it. - by REVJVH
