Peeling Peaches And Tomatoes



To peel fresh peaches or tomatoes easily, submerge the fruit into simmering water for a few seconds and then plunge them into an ice water bath. The skins will slip off without the fruit being cooked. It works on pearl onions too.

  • Actually if you leave it for only a few seconds you can cut out the need for a ice water bath. Most of my tomatoes go in for 20 seconds, start timing once the first one is dropped in and keep track of it by dropping the tomatoes in by going around the outside first then the middle. - by CRAZYNDNCOOK
