I take the adds to WalMart and they will match all of the prices. This way you don't drive all over town wasting gas. Do not watch TV. The ad's will tell you why you should spend money, how you should spend it and that unless you buy thier product/service, you will be unhappy. When you stop watching TV, you begin to make decisions based on your actual needs instead of needs that have been "planted" in your mind. Take control.
