Secrets of Success

Remember What Memorial Day Is About.

We should never forget the "Memorial" in Memorial Day. We should remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country and allowing us the freedoms we enjoy. Take the time to go to a Memorial Day service... it would also be a good lesson for your children.

  • Thank you for reminding people about the REAL reason! For those of us who've lost family in the military, sometimes it's (unintentionally) hurtful that people don't remember. Honoring my uncle, who was killed in Korea in 1953. - by LATVIAN_SANDY
"All gave some, some gave all." My maternal grandfather, the daddy of two little girls, was shot and killed in Germany while serving the U.S. in WWII, just before the war was over. It was 16 years before I was born so I've always wondered about him. He was buried at the Epinal American Cemetery in France. I don't know why he was not brought home to be buried but there are over 5,000 other American service members interred there. emoticon - by ALLTHNGSTHRUHIM
  • Many people forget what this day is all about. All they worry about is what foods to BBQ, who to invite for that etc.
Like you said it's a day to remember all the sacrifices the military did for us to enjoy all the things like a BBQ, games. Most of all the freedom we have.

God bless the USA and the soldiers in all the 5 services that give all and won't be able to be with their families this day. emoticon emoticon - by SCHATZY25
