I think it depends on where you live and what activity. I live in So.Florida and Summer is too hot for just about anything outdoors. Although when you swim in the pool and work up a sweat you know you are getting some calories burned. Down here Winter is perfect to be outdoors and walk, run, go to the park and play with the kids, just about anything - however if I lived up north - I might be snowed in.

Spring is too rainy and muddy.
Summer is way too hot
Winter is too cold.
Fall is perfect - for both outdoor and indoor exercises.

I love Fall. Winter is great too. The cold doesn't bother me, but I hate not being able to jog after it snows :( Spring can be good except that shoes can get soaked through in the rain and take more than a day to dry out. Summer... blech!

Winter is my weakest season. I have a long-range plan of buying cross country skis and getting out to enjoy the snow. I see many of my cycling club members switch over to this in the winter months.

Now: if only my budget would allow for this NOW! :-)

I'm all about the fall but I love winter too (hikes through the snow and snowshoeing? Oh yeah!). Not a fan of spring (I have terrible spring allergies) or summer (too hot and muggy!).

I clicked on fall as my choice, but spring is right up there too. And actually I find winter kind of refreshing too, although I don't like trudging through snow, or slipping on ice. Summer is just too busy, and often times too hot!!

I like fall and spring. This summer in Oklahoma we had days of over 103 degrees, so I started going to the gym to keep exercising. The extreme heat was too much for me.

Winter and summer are too extreme. Fall and spring are best, especially fall.

Fall - definitely. It is still a bit warm due to it just being summer, it hasn't quite gotten too rainy yet. The weather is cooling so it is more likely for me to be motivated to get out there.

i have always loved the fall season, October especially! The nice cooler weather we are getting where I live is getting me motivated to go out and explore some nearby parks....great walking workout and great fall views!

As a transplanted northern to a climate similar to Savannah, GA, I'm so relieved when the heat and humidity get out of the stratosphere that it's a positive pleasure to walk around the neighborhood again.

Funny question. I can't really say we have spring or fall where I live, so I had to choose summer ;-)

Basically, the whole year is great now that I live in Chattanooga! There aren't any more 5-foot snow drifts or -15 degree temps to keep me inside all winter, and a 95-degree summer day down here is the perfect excuse to wake up early and go for a run in the sun.

But, since my favorite season is fall and I love everything it has to offer -- crisp mornings, perfect running temperatures, stunning views from mountain summits, and end-of-season boat rentals -- I had to vote Fall.

Personally, Spring and Fall are the best for me.

Agree with all the others who suggested "ALL of the above" as opposed to NONE......as a veteran charity walker, spring and fall are great for me to indulge in my favorite activity!
