Thanks for the ideas. I’m pretty new to exercise and it’s easy for me to put if off unless I schedule for it ahead of time. Report
I used to work out 5 days s week. My gym was for women only, so there were no men grunting. When they closed it broke my heart, and I never recovered. Report
I get overwhelmed making decisions like:
Am I going to work out?
When am I going to work out?
What am I going to do?
How long am I going to do it?
To keep it simple, I:
Get up at 6:45 every day
Get my butt out of the house at 8:00 EVERY day (well almost) and
Take whatever 8:30 class is scheduled at the gym. Sometimes I stay for their 9:45 class.
My gym (LA Fitness) has Body Works, Zumba, Boot Camp, Yoga, Step Class, Pilates, Cycling, and Waterobics. I'm never bored and have made lots of friends. The only decision I have to make is what workout clothes to wear!
Thank you Report
I've come to recognize that aerobic exercise is an important physiological component of my mental health, which is the main motivator for me to do 30 minutes on the exercise bike 5 days per week. I'm not as consistent as the kind of people described in the article, but I'm fairly certain that giving up altogether will be a huge drain on my energy and motivation. Report
I see so many comments about working out in the morning. I start work so early my gym isn't open with enough time for me to workout and then shower and get around for work. Anyone do after work workouts and what's your motivation? Report
Interesting article, thank you Report
How do you have a heart attack if you exercise everyday, and how will exercising everyday after it prevent another heart attack? That doesn't seem to make sense. If exercising prevents heart attacks and you exercise everyday than that first heart attack should never have happened. Report
I work out in the morning at the gym,. I motivate myself by turning off my hot water at home. This means that if I want a shower before work, I HAVE to go to the gym. It is saving me money and it is getting me fit Report
I also love to walk! Report
Awesome...thanks... Report
thank you Report
