Nice article and very inspirational,
Fibre, exercise, especially 7 minutes daily activities help to reduce the symptoms
I follow the ketogenics food plan. I therefore count net carbs. The article was very informative.
Very interesting. Learned something. I do look at net carbs but only consider the total carbohydrates minus dietary fiber in following a low carb plan.
"net carbs" is a SP nutritional "add"
It should be fairly simple for the SP nutrition tracker to reflect this, shouldn’t it? Fibre is a separate listing already, so perhaps the “carbs” column might be “net carbs”?
Good to know!
Thanks for this excellent need-to-know information!
Thanks for the information.
Good article, but now I'm a little more confused and will bring this up when I see my nutritionist later this week I was taught to subtract the ENTIRE amount of dietary fiber from the total carb amount to get the net carb amount. If it truly is only HALF then I've been doing it wrong for the last several weeks. My readings are normal, so I must be doing something right, but all of the conflicting information that I've gotten since I got diagnosed in February is frustrating.
Why only half ??
Very informative, thank you. I had never heard of the 5 g and divide by 2 rule.
Fiber , fiber , fiber.
When we had a diabetes class they mentioned the above 5 grams of fiber dividing it by 2. I've been doing that for quite some time now. Good article!
Keep, those carbs down. Protein up, fiber up.
