Lisa benefits are so important. I know you will make the right choice for your life. Change is hard but necesary sometimes. Goodluck.

I am taking my son to a nutritionist as he doesnt eat enough. He is very thin...not unhealthy but thin. He doesnt thinkk eating is important. He is special needs and school is starting soon and he doesnt eat there at all.The teahcers try but they only have so much time. emoticon

JoAnn - sorry your hip is hurting. Have you tried maybe getting an arm cycle - it just stands on the top of the table and you turn it like pedals on a bike. It really gets your heart rate up and is a good cardiovascular exercise. Indygirl started with one when she first started losing. Her home health therapist brought it for her.

Hey Terri - that sounds like a very full day. Good luck getting everything done and getting back home safe and getting your rest in. I always overbook myself and then still have a "to do" list when I'm crawling in bed at 11 pm.

Diane - congrats on the new bike - now you can wear out the tires on it.

This month I want to get in 3000 minutes of cardio, not too worried since I'm doing two 5ks on the 24th! I am also placing $150 a week in a jar in my bedroom and my goal is to NOT touch it!

I am doing Deepak Chopra's & Oprah's 21 Day Meditation Challenge. It started today and goes for 21 days. Completing that is a goal for me.

I need to get my place ready to paint next month, so I am getting rid of some stuff.

I want to go to bed earlier - like 10pm at the latest

Saw a beautiful rainbow on the way home from picking my husband up. The colors were so bright. I wish I would have had my camera with me. Then there was a second one beside it but not so bright. Almost like a reflection of the first.

Just wanted to stop by to share this with you. I don't know when I will be able to post tomorrow. It's going to be a very busy day for me. First thing I will be going to the gym to work out for at least an hour then I have my Tops meeting for another hour. After that grab some lunch and take my son to his appointment. Following by picking up my husband and head out of town for an eye appointment which is an hour away. Then 4 or 5 hours later (after we grab some dinner somewhere) I'll be home. But I will get my 10 glasses of water in some how.

Hey Panda - yeah, my husband had a job offer this past June when we went to my home town for a family wedding. We have been considering moving to Texas so that I could be closer to my family. I was born and raised, but my husband has never lived there. The reason we have considered it is because I must drive 130 miles south to Las Vegas for work. I am not able to work in the small town we live in because there are no nursing positions available. There is only 1 hospital here, and 3 colleges that graduate nursing students. Also, the pay for nurses is very recessed here - about 30% less than I was making in Houston. We received the job offer, and have been toying with the idea and possibilities. Then last week, the newspaper my DH works for decided to terminate his position and hire it out differently. Right now he owns his own company and contracts to the newspaper. This allows him to make more money than a standard District or Regional Manager that works directly for the newspaper would make - but he has no benefits. They have decided to fill it as a manager position to lower the pay. They offered him a position equivalent to what he currently is way up in Northern Utah near the Idaho/Wyoming border, but I don't do snow. Also, it would put us in the same situation we are currently in - me driving a long distance and him with no benefits. The position in Texas is a manager position working directly for the newspaper with benefits.

Anyway, thanks for checking up on me.

Hope everyone is off to a great start for week one.

I've been really busy today. Took my friend that had the hip replacement done to PT. She did really great with the exercises. At home she doesn't need to use the cane as much but still needs to take it with her when she is out and about. She is really healing good. I'm so glad for her. Before long she will be out walking me. Which lately that wouldn't take much. My ankle is improving just not as fast. But that's OK. At least it's heading in the right direction.

We have had some crazy weather lately. One minute it is raining and the next the sun is out. We were at McDonald's for a cup of coffee after her PT appointment and it must have done it about 4 times while we were there. We would get a down pour and then 5 min later the sun would shine. It was like that yesterday too. Didn't get my walk in yesterday because of it. But after I pick my husband up I will go for a walk.

Speaking of picking up husbands I better go before I'm late.

1)Go through and sort and take care of 1 box a week. Have at least 100 to go through. See what is and is not needed anymore.

2)Do a couple of 3k's on the treadmill.

3)Get some strength training in. At least 2 days a week.

1. Drink at least 64oz. water daily
2. Walk (when my ankle will permit me) at least 1 mile 5 days a week
3. Strength train 3 days a week like I use to do.
4. Eat more veggies and fruit.
5. Start getting rid of things I no longer need hanging around the apartment collecting dust. Trying to down size.
Forgot number 6. Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. Need to work on this one again.

Monday - Question of the Day: Other than weight loss, do you have any other goals you’d like to achieve this month?

Well, since we have the job offer to move to Texas (back home for me), my goal is to continue going through kids things, boxes, storage, etc. and getting rid of anything that does not need to make the move. As of right now, my husband will go to Texas and start his position and try to find a rental home large enough for my family (a difficult task I'm sure - we had to custom build our home to get it big enough), while I stay behind. There just was no way possible to get the entire family moved, house sold, etc, before school starts - either here or there. School starts here next Wednesday, and there on the 26th. I'm sure it will take some time to sell my home since it is custom, and very large. Only a big family would need a home this size. In the meantime, we are finishing up the landscaping projects we started back in the spring (in the summer heat now) so that the house will be ready to show by next month.

QOTD: Other than weight loss, during this challenge I plan to go through at least 10 boxes from my storage building and toss, sell, give away, or store as appropriate. My goal is to keep no more than 1 box from the 10 that I go through.

I have several actually... to go the gym 6 days a week, 3 for cardio/swimming and 3 for strength training. To use the facial regiment I have at home EVERY night, no matter how tired I am. To do one household chore each night, so that come Saturday I am not overwhelmed with cleaning.

We are now babysitting my fiance's other dog, Reese's. (Full name: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. She is the color of peanut butter!) We already have Baby Girl (who is 8 pounds) and now Reese's (who is only 4 pounds!) They are so cute together! They are both huddled under their blanket right now.

I already have a goal list on my blog but I will list the ones I will use for this week:
1. To drink 100 ounces of water a day.
2. To exercise 3 times a week.
3. To track my water, food and fitness daily.

I plan to get started on the C25K running program. Want to be doing that, for sure, by the end of the month.

My other goal is 500 SparkPoints.

Monday - Question of the Day

Other than weight loss, do you have any other goals you’d like to achieve this month?

My August goal is to finish the 17 miles left for my 100 miles swimming! I also want to walk at least 31 miles this month (doing well so far on that one)...

Please wish me luck/send good thoughts/pray for us, I've just applied for a job that could make a huge difference for us and I will hear about interviews in the next few days!

I started back up last week with three days on the treadmill, and will continue this month. I need it.

As long as i have been a bull off n on, I have never seen so many from Virginia.
Nest egg.. I will have to put IOU papers in my box. I just treated myself to color/cut for losing over 50lbs by my birthday. Plus have 25th reunion on Sat. Will be awhile before I am able to treat myself again.
Since have to do all my online stuff by phone, may not be able to respond to all. And exist my typos ahead of time. EXCUSE not exist lol see what I mean?
Non weight goals. . Focus more on cleaning clutter and move more at home. Most my movement happens on the job.
