I have a Lab/American Bulldog cross. Shortly after I got her I had to have retinal detachment surgery. After surgery you have to lay on your stomach until you heal. You can get up long enough to eat, do your business, and put in your eye drops. The rest of the time you are pretty much on your face.

My situation made my pup very unhappy, since she wasn't getting her usual amount of attention. She started getting up on the desk and grabbing my mail which she quickly shredded, she ate my wii remote, knocked over the hamper and dragged my clothes outside. She also stole one of my bed pillows, somehow got it out of her doggie door and placed it in a hole she dug!

I am so glad she has outgrown this (only I can't break her of stealing my socks and taking them outside!)

emoticon I know the feeling! We took our child locks off the kitchen cabinets when the kids got older, but had to put them back on for one of our cats, Arthur. He thinks anything people eat must be good for him too. His favourite thing is to take a pack of 6 bread rolls, have a bite out of each and leave a big pile of crumbs around the kitchen!

So the other day I made a list of things my cat Ed has eaten:
~Silicon Pastry Brush
~Silicon Spatula
~the rubber thingy on your crockpot lid
~aluminium foil
~dry pasta
~flour (yes plain flour)
~Stole a pork chop off of the stove top (it was on a sheet pan) before going into the oven while my roommate's back was turned.
~Chicken breast (garlic too *sigh*) that was cooking IN the crockpot
~Raisin brand cereal
~Potatoes
~dry tea leaves

I am honestly not surprised my cats haven't had issues from all these things, no foreign bodies, ruptured GI tracts, pancreatitis, damage to their red blood cells, etc

I have child locks on all my cabinets and yet he still sometimes gets around those! People ask me if I have kids when they see the locks and I'm like nope I have cats.

The most embarrassing thing my cats have done is when I started dating my current boyfriend Chris is that my cats would take out my tampons (unused still sealed) and play with them and then leave them all over the apartment.
