Monday at yoga the studio owner/instructor says she looked into a BC/BS affiliation, but it would cost her money to join them, and to get a discount, members would have to attend at least 12 classes a month. She dropped that idea. Silver Sneakers sounds more promising, though the owner gives those of us over 60 yrs old a discount of $15/month anyway. It's $55/month for all the classes I can cram in, which I think is a really good deal especially as I enjoy it. I don't remember what the fees were at the Women's Health Center (Medcenter/Sanford). The Y and Sanford are partnering on the new Family Wellness Center in Mandan, but I'll stick with my yoga studio and walking for now. Yesterday, one of the women in my yoga class said "It's kinda like "Cheers", everybody knows your name!"

Having a hard time fitting as much exercise as I would like in to my day.

I do the Y but we get an insurance discount that makes it pretty reasonable as long as we log 12 visits a month which is not a problem.
I have 4 workouts this week plus hiking up and down the hill to the garden so I am feeling like I am on track.

I liked water aerobics in the past, but I'd have quite a jaunt to get to where I could do it now. The new YMCA/Sanford Family Wellness Center won't have a pool. I don't really want to pay all those fees to the Y, anyway.

Today I'm going to do the walking path around the Capitol. emoticon

I tried a new group fitness class on Saturday - water dance. It's a bit scary going to a new class, but I really enjoyed it. Hopefully I can make it again this coming Saturday! emoticon + emoticon (get it - water dance)

I did hike in the mountains. Pretty wimpy hiking but the terrain and altitude were a challenge.

My exercise goal for the week is to do yoga. I haven't done it for about 6 weeks and I miss it. So, I did 15 minutes tonight and I was sweating! I need to get back at it.

Having been gone for a week, I didn't get any organized exercise in. Did hike outdoors 3 days out of 5. The other 2 days we were gone it emoticon

This week is back to yoga 3 times, and walking twice.

Way to go everyone on your fitness accomplishments. Mine for the week was to run 1 mile. I don't really enjoy running but I try to get in a few minutes here and there. I did run one mile without stopping last night so that was my accomplishment.

emoticon After I walk today, I'll have 6 days of exercise in since last Thursday. I'll have yoga again tomorrow. We'll be doing a lot of hiking when we next go camping, but I'll have to remember to write down my steps for my fit bit, as I'm sure we won't have WiFi.

Well I have made 5 days of real gym workouts which is pretty good of late. I have been increasing my cardio. Did a full 30 minutes on the elliptical today. Doesn't seem like much but I am working on getting to 45 or so 5 days a week.

I am aiming to get to the gym and do real exercise 6 days this week and to start getting more walking in. Walked at the zoo today. Quite a bit actually. We also road the train. Hillarious. My hubby and I were the only ones on the train on our ride. Not the intended audience. Learned the badgers are named Luke and Leia. That struck me as funny.

Hubby and I went for a 59 minute bike ride today. It was a glorious day to be out! I also reached 700 days of exercising at least 10 minutes a day. That's a good accomplishment in my book.

Once per week post a new fitness related accomplishment, A goal met ie I made it to the gym 6 times this week. An accomplishment ie I ran a mile without walking at all. A new activity tried ie I went to hot yoga class. Anything that's new or a personal achievement for you. Post in all three forums in a week to get a spark goodie.
