Haven't recorded today but I am getting my mind wrapped around eating better.
I made beet soup today because I had an instructor tell me beets were good for cholesterol and after looking at some research I think it's a maybe but it inspired me to cook them up and make soup.
Go figure I am so OCD sometimes. I get an idea and I run with it.

Me, too. And I have no excuse! It's a lot easier to track now that I'm retired, and not half dead by the end of a day.

My inspiration for this week is that I joined the 5% Cloverleaf group. I need to be more serious about weight loss and journaling my food. I really don't like to journal my food but I have been successful for two days in a row!

my motivation for this week is the founder of my yoga studio. She just passed away from cancer. She worked so hard to get her yoga/dance studio established. It's under a new owner now, but I want to honor her effort.

Last week I was trying hard to increase my cardio and after this past weekend hiking in the mountains I need to work a lot. I am not in very good shape.
Lasting motivation is hard for me to keep

My inspiration for this week is how I felt hiking during our camping trip. I'm inspired to work harder on lower body strength, as I felt like I wasn't climbing as well as I used to, and no jumping down little steps on the shore.

I didn't get a chance to post last night. My new inspiration for exercising is our puppy! I have started taking him for walks along our gravel road and he walks really fast. This helps me walk faster and gives me inspiration to go for walks because he needs the exercise. emoticon

Lori, the Happy Canner!

Well, I have stairs to climb from outdoors to the kitchen, and when I climb I'm carrying a 5 gallon bucket of apples. I can't believe how big ours are this year, bigger than store apples!

Going out for another walk today, had yoga yesterday. I don't sweat as much in yoga anymore, so I think I'm gaining a little endurance. I need to do more walking for that, and for strength. When I walked a lot many years ago, I had nice legs emoticon

It's certainly valid to exercise because you can.
I am trying hard to build endurance this week. I have been increasing my cardio time on the elliptical.
Also been trying to squeeze in those extra bit of exercise walking a lap around the store. Extra trips down to my garden. Downhill there and up on the way back. UGH
Also playing the radio while I am doing the tomatoes and dancing a bit.

My inspiration may seem a bit "strange" to some. I really don't like to exercise all that well (even though I have exercised for at least 10 minutes at day for almost 700 days).Sometimes my inspiration to exercise comes from the fact that I am physically able to exercise. I know a woman who was in a wheelchair (before she passed away), and I have another friend with back problems who is unable to run. Therefore, sometimes I exercise because my body is able to. emoticon emoticon emoticon

This may seem strange, but this saying reminds me to make sure I get up drink my water and pull myself together this month, a fresh new start! I work from home, but it's no reason not to get dressed in more than just yoga pants each day and to comb my hair and feel good Lol.

The first inspiration that comes to mind is an older fellow with Parkinson's who comes to yoga 3 times a week (my class) and says he's been doing this for 5 years. I'm betting this has really helped him cope and stay more fit and flexible. When I first started to come to that class, I just had to tell him I admired him, and that he can be my inspiration. I think he appreciated it, but with the flat affect of Parkinson's Disease, he can't smile.

Post something that inspires you one time per week. Weeks are from Thursday to Wednesday.
Members who post in all three fit for fall forums in a given week get a spark goodie.
