Yippee, I've gotten to the point where I have a container of ice water with me all the time. I think it's helping, as I'm down to my lowest weight in years. emoticon

Still chugging emoticon

We had fresh asparagus from our yard last night. We have a patch in the garden for it, but it's popped up in other parts of the yard, too. We didn't plant it, we think some seeds blew in from a neighbor to the West.

I've decided that to get healthy with freggies, I have to be less thrifty. So, I bought a big bag of baby carrots and a big bag of frozen mixed fruit to stick in my plain yogurt, or wherever.

I am cleaning house but stuggling with the fruits and veggies. I am probably at 4 today.

I'm proud to say I've actually made the choice to drink water before I grab something to eat when I think I'm hungry. As a result, I'm getting in my 8 glasses a day! emoticon

I am a bit behind on posting a focus area this month, but better late than never!

I have become really good about drinking water over the past couple of years. My body can tell when I haven't had much in a day, which isn't often.

I need to focus on my diet and trying to get more fruits and veggies in. I also need to curb my "junk food" eating. It doesn't happen that often, but when it does, I tend to go a bit overboard. So those will be my focus areas. emoticon

There's a Lipton tea called Cold Brew that is my husband's go to beverage from May through October. You plunk the tea bags in a container that will fit in your fridge, leave it and it does it's thing. The fast way to do Sun Tea without the Sun or the heat.

I'm doing pretty well with the water. Since I've sworn off the artificial sweeteners, I squirt in some lime or lemon juice. For bubbly, I squirt juice into a quart bottle of club soda, or as a special treat I buy LaCroix unsweetened, fruit flavored soda. It's more expensive than diet soda, so I'll only have a can a day. Yesterday I know I downed at least 3 quarts of just plain water, not counting morning coffee or the water I took to my art group last night. Now to keep it up.

I have a hard time getting 5 freggies in a day! Keep at it!

In a word YES.
a good rule of thumb is to drink a large glass of water and wait a few minutes.
I have been pretty much drowning myself in my iced tea mix.
I hot brew it and then ice it, fairly week and half green tea half herb tea so not too much caffiend.
I am not making 7 fruit and veggies. Probaby 5 or 6 today.

I'm going to focus on examining my "hunger". Am I hungry, or is it really just thirst? I worked in one of my gardens for 4 hours yesterday, and was really wiped out when I came inside. I thought I was hungry and ate a bunch of carbs. What I think I really needed was water! There have been articles here and elsewhere that talk about this. I need to get more water in anyway, right?

Make it a challenge to do this weekly.
I am doing spark goodies for all who challenge themselves and report on how it's going.
I am thinking hard about making weekly oatmeal to go cups for my hubby and I.

I need to focus on getting my food prep done each week so I have food ready and handy. Seems when I fall off of that the rest falls off too. I need to chop veggies right away when I bring it home and get it all ready for the week. This way I have no excuse not to eat healthy.

Pick an area of your food life to focus on and tell us about it in this forum.

I am challenging myself to 7 servings of fruits and veggies daily.
Seems that if I focus on this the rest of my food life falls into place.
It's May so I want to be out and moving more naturally so I am focusing on food.

Report back how you're doing on 8, 15, 22 and 29th
