240 minutes of exercise for me this past week. It included a hike on a trail that had quite a few hills.

I tracked 193 minutes of walking and running last week. I was out of town for a long weekend this past weekend so I didn't get a chance to post my tracking until today. I hope everyone has a good week.

Thanks for the Spark goodie! I tracked 192 minutes of walking/running this week. We were out of town for a long weekend to Bozeman, MT for a family wedding. We hiked up to a waterfall and then to the headwaters of the Missouri River. I didn't track either one of those. We also stayed on the third floor of the hotel. I only took the elevator once, when we were unloading everything. Otherwise I took the stairs. Unfortunately, the eating wasn't so good so we'll see how many pounds I gained later this week.

Was in my calorie range 4 days last week, and exercised 4 times. I spend 30 minutes in each lower body strengthening routine for my knee injury, and I'm adding upper body work with exercise bands as well. Lost 1.4 lbs as of the 10th. Really working on losing 2 more this week. My goal is to have lost 25 pounds by New Year's Eve.

I walked and ran 214 minutes this week, including running for one mile without stopping. I realize that for some people this wouldn't be a big deal, but I don't like running (or slow jogging) so I usually do it for 3-5 minutes, then walk a minute or two, then run again. Yesterday I ran an entire mile without stopping. I hope everyone has a good week!

On the other hand, I stayed within calorie range 6 out of 7 days this past week, and weight stayed the same at 200.6.

So who wants to be fit and fabulous this fall.
Summer we mostly looked at weight, pretty unsuccessfully for me and for fall I want the focus to be fitness.
American Heart Association recommends 30 minutes or more of moderate exercise most days.
So I am proposing that we aim for 30 minute of cardio 4 days a week. Reality is that is 120 minutes a week. I am not that concerned how you count it but you are better off spreading the minutes out a little.
I want to define this as intentional exercise. That can include house work if you really tackle it hard but not your regular job. I have felt I did cardio a lot at work this summer. We moved and shelved a lot of books and that is hard labor. This would not count toward my 120 minutes though.
Lets report weekly in this forum. Right now I have probably done 50 this week. Played Frisbee golf with the kids Sunday on a hilly course, probably more than half an hour, but and hit the gym for 20 minutes of cardio yesterday. I am not counting my lifting time.
Lets go ahead and count Sunday to Sunday even though today is the first.
Spark Goodies for exercisers!
