Pitched several clothing items that weren't good enough to donate. Several other items went out to the garage for the upcoming garage sale.

Just did my daily RAK (Random Act of Kindness) on Ravelry.com; I'm currently donating an item every day between Lughnasadh and Samhain from my hand-made stuffs; today was a hand made birthday card with gift tags! Might sound small and maybe even silly but it's forcing me to work through my stash; my biggest area of hoarding! It's also making me re-evaluate the hobbies I wanna keep, such as knitting, and those I'm actually not too keen on no matter how many pretty things I buy for it, such as cardmaking.

Just because you have been through the rain of life doesn't mean I have to walk around in wet clothes forever; there is a warm towel, a big hug, and a mug of low fat cocoa waiting for you somewhere!

junk mail into the shredder.

I contacted the credit bureaus to have myself removed from the lists being sold for offers of credit and insurance. Last time I did it, it was good for 5 years. This time I was able to choose an option to permanently remove my name from these lists. I'm always afraid of identity theft and since I'll be moving, I'm doing my best to re-route all of my mail and eliminate anything with my name on it. I had to sign a form and return it, but that's a small act in order to prevent at least some of this junk mail. Thought I'd pass this one on in case it could help someone else.

ALL of the clothes that I wore before I lost the lbs. I have lost. I figure this way I have no option to regain again. Since then I have been struggling and my clothes are tight again, so I can either be miserable or get my rear in gear!

I brought along on vacation all of my current magazines to read and pass along to others. I also brought several of my samples and half-used bottles of products (HBA) to finish and throw out. Both of these "discards" free up room in my suitcase for the trip home.

We have an old tank from a couple of years ago when we had a gas grill... can this be returned, recycled or just taken to the curb? Any ideas? It might still have some gas in it, but we have no plans to buy another grill any time soon and our current one is charcoal (which I think we both prefer).

When I pick up my new glasses, I will leave my old ones so they can be given to someone else who can use them. I think most optometrists do this now.

As our garage sale is still set up and we basically open the doors on the weekends, yesterday I checked out the yard and put a few lawn ornaments in the sale -- and they were sold already! Less to store in the winter for us and making someone happy with what they purchased is always a great feeling!

I took so many coupons out of the magazine that I bought that there really wasn't much left to pass on to someone else, so I pitched it. I have a lot of great coupons from it though!

Cleaned out the armoire - some to keep, some to pitch, some for garage sale.

Also found old medicine that I won't use again. This weekend one hospital in town is accepting medicine for safe disposal since we're not supposed to flush it. Our police departments take it also all year long.

Some art supplies (almost full pads of newsprint & some 165# paper) left over from a drawing class I took last year. I'll neer use them, so I took them to church this morning for the youth group.

I was going through things to sell at a garage sale, and I found all of these "Travel the World" videos! So, I boxed them up and gave them to my parents -- they used to travel, but due to mobility issues now, they no longer can do so. So, they can sit back and enjoy the scenery and more of Switzerland, Australia, Ireland and more at home and at any time they'd like.

On the junk mail/credit card offers, a few years ago, I was able to contact the credit bureaus and have them take my name off of the list that can be bought for these offers. I'm wondering if that time has expired and that's why I'm seeing an inrease.

Last thing that I donated: In my cleaning, I found an envelope that I had where you could send an old cell phone and they would be able to either re-use or re-cycle it to help people who need them and can't afford them. So I sent them my old cell phone. Got rid of something I can't use that hopefully will benefit someone else.
