Hey ladies! The 10 miler was today and it was a blast! Unfortunately I did not achieve my goal of 01:25:00, but I did run it in 01:29:06 which is one of my fastest times yet, so it's all good!
I can't believe that April and this challenge are over already. I wish I had been more active in the challenge this month, I guess I will have to get'm next time!
I loved chatting with you, lets keep it up!

Hi Ladies!

Darcy- Good luck with your race tomorrow. Don't stress about your time... if it doesn't happen, there will always be another race. If it does- WHOO HOO! =)

Noga- I understand about having to find balance "where" you are as well as with other aspects of your life. My parents live in Brussels, one of my sisters is in Nicaragua, and the other is in upstate NY... and I'm well... wherever I happen to be at the time. I know it's hard, but thank goodness for e-mail, chat, and SKYPE, right?

What a roller-coaster of a month, huh ladies? But we all pulled through this- and I think we did a dang good job! Thanks for being there for me this month!

xoxo

Hi!

Darcy- good luck on your race! I hope you beat your time!! I too have been missing running (and going to the gym). I really have no excuse why I haven't been running (I mean I CAN just go outside and run) but I'm looking forward to getting back to my workout routine in a couple of weeks when I return to the states. In the meantime I'm sticking to Jillian Michael's dvd's.

So today is the last day of April!! I can't believe the month went by so fast! How crazy! To sum it up, it's been quite a roller coaster! I've had a great time visiting with my family and friends but I also had a tough time sticking to my weight loss plan. I have been able to maintain my weight (with ups and downs but pretty stable) so I guess that's good, but it has been a struggle. I also miss my BF and puppy a lot and when I'm in the states I miss my family and friends, so it's a tough balance. I guess just like with food I need to find my balance in life. If only it was that simple...
Anyway, I just wanted to say that it's been really great getting to know you two and you've both been such great motivators for me! I hope to keep hearing from you even after this challenge is over and I wish you both all the best!! Thanks for being so incredible!

P.S. don't forget to input all your points so that I can send it to Andrea tomorrow.

hey ladies!

I'm sorry to hear you both had some struggles this week, but it sounds like you had a lot of victories too!

Erin hang in there!

this month has just been full of minimal exercise and lots of food! i have enjoyed the food, but i really miss my running and yoga. this sunday i have a 10mile race which should be interesting... i know i can do it, but i do not think i am going to acheive the time i wanted. my goal was to come in under 01:27:00. but you never know, maybe my leggs are really well rested! :)

I hope you both have a great weekend!

ps: i'll enter in my points from the past few weeks tomorrow!

Hi girls!

Darcy- I'm glad you had fun on your trip and that you got in some walking too! I heard Santa Fe is beautiful!

Erin- I'm sorry you had a rough day yesterday... It must be very difficult to not know what you're going to be doing. I hope you got a good night's sleep and that you're feeling refreshed!

I had some ups and downs (as usual). I had one binge night and then I was determined to get back on track so I was good on Wednesday but then last night I binged again... ughhh... I really need to stop doing this to myself... Tonight we're going out to a restaurant and tomorrow I'm meeting with friends for lunch but I am going to make good choices! I have been very consistent with my workouts though! I'm almost 2/3 of the way through the 30 day slimdown challenge and I'm really proud of myself for sticking with it!!

I hope you all have a great weekend and that we can all end April on a positive note!

Hi Ladies,

Gonna make this short today. It was a rough day, and on top of that I ate bad, but I did get my workout in (thank goodness today was abs and yoga). It's been a stressful week, and I'm going crazy trying to figure out what is going on in my life past Tuesday...

But tomorrow is going to be better, and I'm going to get a good nights sleep, so bye for now.

Hi Ladies!

Darcy- Welcome back! We missed you!

Noga- What you were feeling this morning is what I call a "foodover" =) It helps me remember that I enjoy eating healthy foods as much as possible... with smaller splurges. Your attitude about moving forward is AWESOME, though... i need some of that. I'm always way too hard on myself when I "slip". *sigh* ah well.

Today was a good day. We only had one show (WHAT?!?!? We always do at LEAST two, and 3 is pretty typical as well), and I was very productive... so I feel great about that. I'm hungry...again, so that's frustrating, but I guess that means I need to find something to eat. Hmmm... maybe a small bag of popcorn would be satisfying :)

Hey all... I'm back and home from Santa Fe!

Vacation was pretty much a food fest, but I am happy to report I did a lot of walking and even ran 7miles one morning. I was also sure to eat fruits and veggies, so it wasn't all fried and chocoalte. :)

I hope you ladies are doing well, I'm going to read backwards and catch up on your posts!

Hi!

Erin- congrats on all your new clothes! I too don't buy clothes very often so I know how thrilling it is to buy some flattering new outfits! And especially when they're a size 4 and small (I haven't fit into those sizes in years)!!! Way to go!

My Tuesday was going very well until I went out to dinner with a friend. It started out really well, I had a very healthy stir-fry chicken salad and it was great. But then our waiter comped us with dessert and then things started going down hill... We split the dessert which would have been fine if I had stopped there, but I didn't... I ended up eating more chocolate and cookies for the rest of the evening until I went to bed. So a bad night (and I feel so full and gross this morning) but that's o.k. I'm getting it back together TODAY and I know that one night of bad choices is not going to ruin me! I made those choices, I accept it, I am forgiving myself and moving on! Eating healthy feels so much better than the way I'm feeling now!

Have a great Wednesday!

Happy Monday!

Noga- Congrats! A pound lost AND surviving a food fest! Get it girl! That's so exciting! Thanks for the happy thoughts... I still haven't heard anything back. If I don't by Wednesday, I'll e-mail again. I don't want to be pushy, but I head back to VA next Tuesday to move out of my ex's place... and I kind of want to know where I'm moving! Ahhhh!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I went shopping myself... and BOUGHT clothes other than work clothes for the first time in FOREVER S(seriously, I think it's probably been 8 years or so since I've bought anything other than work clothes or "replacement" items). It was an AMAZING experience. I am totally in LOVE with Express right now. I had gone into a couple of stores and had a frustrating experience, but when I went into Express and they asked if they could help, I said "Yes. I haven't been shopping in forever, and I need clothes. Jeans, most importantly." I won't bore you with the whole story, but I went in guessing I was a size 6(ish) and a medium. WRONG! Size 4 and small!!!!! AHHH!!!!!! AHHH!!!! I HEART TurboFire! =D Seriously- I was so freaking excited. And I found two pairs of jeans that fit me SO WELL... and they helped me find some tops, that look good on me... sorry, I'm just so surprised about the whole situation! So... I ended up getting a pair of jeans, a pair of jeggings, and 4 tops... and it cost me WAY less than I thought. My grandma gave me money for Easter (a sort of tradition, we used to go shopping for Easter dresses, but now she sends money for an Easter dress/outfit) and so I only ended up spending $50!!!! Granted, I now have an Express card... but hey, if their clothes do fit me this well, I'll be able to use the coupons and points for gift cards in the long run. Plus, I'm really good with credit cards, and I'll be paying it off on Tuesday when it shows up online =) I'm SO excited to have clothes that fit me well and look good on me, I can't EVEN begin to explain.

So... yeah. Sorry about the ramble, I was excited and wanted to share! Hope everyone is doing well! Let's rock this week!

I'll consider it brung then! emoticon

I had a really good weekend and I'm super happy! I met with friends yesterday and we had a barbeque but again I stayed in control and only ate a little bit of everything and was completely satisfied! I focused more on hanging out with them since I hadn't seen them in a while and it was a lot of fun! And to top it all off, I lost a pound this week! I feel like I'm getting back in the groove of things and I'm learning how to stay in control at social events. I'm sure I'll still run into difficulties, but tonight, I'm happy!

Erin- yeah I'm not sure about P90X. My boyfriend and I have a hard time committing to a workout plan (it's more him than me actually- but don't tell him that ;-) ). So maybe we should start with something that doesn't take that much time. I guess that's why I like the Jillian Michael's dvd's, but it will be nice to change it up just so that I won't get bored! I'll definitely check out ChaLEAN. Thanks for the recommendation and info! Oh and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you to get good news soon! The waiting game is the worst!!!

Have a great week girls!

Hi Ladies!

Ready for the last week? Noga said bring it... consider it brung ;) (does that even work? Yeah...)

Noga- Congrats on eating so well during a big family meal! That's awesome! Get it girl! As for the P90x... that's awesome. I've heard great things about the results from that program. However, I will tell you- that program is not for me. First, I like Chalene's motivational style more than Tony's... so there's that to begin with, but also- I would look into the time thing. If your BF is going to do it with you, and you commit to keep each other to the schedule, that's one thing... but from what I understand the classes can be long... and difficult to fit into a busy schedule. (One of the reasons I love TurboFire is bc nothing is longer than an hour.) Also, have you done any resistance training? If not... maybe check out P90 first... that one was also great (otherwise they wouldn't have made a second) and from what I understand shoter classes. The other you may want to check out is (I know, I'm biases) ChaLEAN extreme. Again- nothing longer than one hour. Several of the workouts are shorter than 45 minutes. The idea is heavy resistance, fewer reps. I have it, I love it (and, if you haven't figured out yet... I"m pretty much obessed with Chalene). All of those programs are Beachbody... which, if you buy them from beachbody they come with a money back if you don't like it program... which is one of the reasons I always buy from them (other than trying to find it on ebay or something). I know some of the programs you CAN get on e-bay, but yet again... unless you've had the chance to try it out... I like the idea that if I don't like it, I can send it back and get something else that I DO like. Oh- and if the BF is worried that ChaLEAN Extreme or P90 won't be enough... they're no joke... for real (well, that's what I've heard about P90, and know about ChaLEAN).

Anyway- this is my last week of touring. My last show is one week from tomorrow... crazy. I'm still waiting to find out if I have a job this summer or not, and it's driving me crazy. Hopefully I'll hear something (positive) in the next day or two.... I may explode.

Okay, shower time. Just did Fire 45 and it's NO JOKE...

(p.s. thanks for the points update- I was gonna ask...)

Hi Girls!

I hope you're having a good weekend!

So today starts our LAST week of the challenge! It's time to BRING IT! emoticon
I think we've all been doing really well this past month with everything that's been going on in our lives, so now it's time to finish strong!

I'm glad the week of "no sweets" is over since that was a real challenge for me (but probably something I should try to do more often) and this week we're counting hours of sleep! Now that I can do! emoticon

Darcy- I know you had kind of a hectic week last week so just letting you know that you haven't inputed any points for this past week starting from Thursday, 4/14)

Erin- you're missing Monday (4/18) and then Wednesday through Saturday (including)- 4/20-4/23.

Let's make this a good week!

Hi!

Well Erin, you make it sound easy but that is some serious commitment to working out so my hat's off to you! :) (Especially now that I saw what TurboFire is... Yikes! That's intense!)
I'm thinking of starting P90X after I'm done with Jillian (my BF might join me). I'm a little scared of it, but I've heard such great things about it. I just hope I like it because like you said, Erin, if I don't like there's no way I'm going to stick with it! So we'll see...

So I'm really proud of myself! I had another big family dinner tonight and I even made a delicious chocolate mousse cake and macarons (I'm the baker in the family), but I managed to stay in control and only eat my portion! I usually leave these dinners stuffed but tonight I only ate what I put on my plate, ate reasonably, had one cookie for dessert (and a taste of the cake) and that's it! I feel great and very proud emoticon Hopefully the scale will be kind to me on Monday, but even if I stay the same, I know I feel much better and that it's worth it.

Have a great weekend girlies!

Hello Lovlies!

=) So... you guys make me smile. I move around a lot for work, so I've finally "figured" it out. It's getting into a routine, just like if you were in one place. This February I used part of my tax return and treated myself to TurboFire, which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_pr
og
rams/turbofire.do

I think that's a HUGE part of it. I blogged about finding "the one" during the March challenge, and I really do believe it. Once you find a workout you enjoy, it becomes more easy to look forward to it. Since TF has a set schedule, I know what I'm doing every day. Granted, somtimes I'll swap Monday and Tuesday's workout (for example), but I always get all the right classes in during my week. The other thing I do, is have a "time." I put it in quotes, because I can't pick an exact time, my schedule fluctuates too much. So, my "time" is within 30 minutes of getting to our hotel for the night. That way, I give myself a little time to settle in if I need it, but I'm up and ready to go ASAP. I often will try to start on the nearest half hour (so if it's 4:15 when we pull in, I'll start at 4:30, if it's 5:40, I'll start at 6:00). That seems to be helping this time around. So yeah... a workout that you really love, and a set time. Not easy, but totally doable.
The food is harder, though... still trying to figure out THAT trick. Eating healthy and not spending too much... yikes.

Darcy- Have fun on your trip!
Noga- I hope you feel better soon. I'm glad you've been able to keep to your routine even though you haven't felt 100%.

Let's do this ladies!

Hi girls!

Darcy- I hear you! I don't know how Erin does it! I've been away from my routine for about a month now and it's tough! And I'm not even doing that much and I can plan my own schedule so I can only imagine how hard it is when you're traveling for business! I guess it's all about working it into your routine, and maybe as long as you're doing well most of the time, it's not too bad if you're off a few days...

I've been fighting a cold the past couple of days (which is weird because I hardly ever have a cold that lasts more than a day)... I guess it's the weather. But I have been pushing myself to do my workouts and I think that actually helps! I feel lousy before I start but I feel great afterward! Tomorrow we have another holiday dinner and I know it's going to be a challenge to stay in my calorie range, but I really want to lose weight this week so I'm going to stay in control and track what I eat! I can do this!! Bikini season is right around the corner- yikes! emoticon emoticon

Erin how the heck do you do it?! I was once again traveling for business and had an impossible time keeping up with work outs, Spark, and my food.
It seems I am only on my A game when life is calm and only moderately busy.

You ladies are doing a fantastic job holding down the fort! emoticon

Happy Hump Day!

The sun is shining, we had an "early" day, and I had an AWESOME workout today. I hope everyone else is also having a great day.

Noga- great job with the sweets! It's funny, because I don't eat a lot of sweets normally, but I just got a care pkg with teddy grahams in them, and they are sooooo... good. I haven't had them for YEARS. But of course... this week! Grrr... You're right about the weight loss. I've been telling myself the same thing- it's still frustrating, though.

Okay... so I need to go enjoy what is left of this lovely day! XOXO!

Hi ladies!

So I got back on track today as I promised myself I would! Hopefully this time it'll last longer (man I sound like a broken record)! I didn't work out today because I was really congested, had a headache and it's that TOM so all together made it hard for me to peel myself out of bed... I'm a little disappointed that I had to take a break from my 30 day challenge, but that's o.k. I'll get right back to it tomorrow! I did have a great accomplishment today though, I didn't have any sweets! I really wanted to have dessert after dinner tonight but I remembered our challenge and opted for and apple and a tangerine instead! Yay!

Erin- 2 lbs is still 2 lbs! And sometimes it takes time for the scale to catch up, especially when you don't have a lot to lose. I'm sure with all the workouts you're doing you're getting toned and adding muscle so that might be another reason why the scale isn't showing your hard work! Don't give up, I'm completely inspired by how well you do being on the road all the time!! And yes, yoga is a great stress reliever!

Hi Ladies!
Noga- getting back on track is hard, but SO worth it. Just think of how great you feel when you've accomplished it- and how great your body feels when you are eating good foods! Moderation is so hard... but I KNOW you can do it! =)

So... I went to a TurboKick workshop yesterday and when I was at the gym I weighed myself and I was soooo dissapointed :(. I know I shouldn't be, but I was. I've only lost 2 lbs in the last 5.5 weeks. I thought I had done better than that. Granted... TOM was just leaving, but still. I also know last week was rough, and I think it "done me in," so to speak- because I didn't eat as well last week- I haven't been sleeping well, or enough (the latter of which is my fault). So I need to get back on track. Today was core and yoga, so I'm feeling a bit more relaxed (even though I'm stressed... if that makes sense?), and ready to come up with a game plan. Here I go!
Chat soon!

Hi!

Erin- I'm sorry you've been going through a rough time. I hope you have some time to relax and figure out things for yourself.
Getting back to tracking after splurging is the most difficult part for me! I'm kind of an "all or nothing" kind of girl and I think that's my biggest problem with weight loss (and gain). It's definitely something I need to work on- moderation. Anyway, I've had some off days (again) but tomorrow (it's already Monday night here) I'm getting back on track!
As far as tracking points, Erin, you're missing Monday through Thursday of last week (4/11-4/14).
Have a great week!

Hi Ladies- Thanks for the support. Things have been really rough lately. I'm having a mini freak-out, and my food has NOT been the best. So... I need to really focus on that. I was doing great until he called this past week... and this weekend I went and visited my grandma, and she's got snack stuff everywhere... and I mindlessly snacked. Add to that I didn't have access to the internet to track my food- so starting tomorrow, I'm back on track. I am.
Noga- I do the same thing with tracking. Sometimes I just have a "no tracking day" on purpose (that's when I'm in my "normal" life... not now... ) It's okay- just get back on track after your splurge day! :)
Because of last week's craziness I'm not sure what day's I've missed tracking... let me know, and I'll go back and add my points!

K- I'm going to wrap this up so I can finish catching up on three days of no internet and get to bed early.

Hi girls!

I hope you're having a great weekend! Mine was pretty fun (in Israel out weekend is Friday and Saturday, so mine is already over)! I met with a lot of friends, went dancing and hiking and ate a lot of yummy foods that I've been missing while being in the states (like really good hummus, yum)! I did manage to get my workouts in so I'm really happy about that (and I got some extra burn with the dancing and hiking) but on the eating front I didn't do so well. I was losing weight during the week but the weekend set me back, so I'm pretty much at the same weight I started the week. Not too bad, but I do want to lose the weight and it's becoming more challenging...

Anyway, this week will be an added challenge for me because this week we're counting sweets! Yikes! I usually have one sweet a day (in moderation, for dessert) so I'll try to cut back this week! Also, since Passover starts this week we have a lot of family dinners making it even more difficult to skip dessert. So I'll do my best!

I hope you're doing well!

Erin, I'm sorry you've been going through a rough time. Ending a five year relationship is really tough (I know from experience). I admire you for sticking to you workouts and pushing through it. When I'm upset (or when I'm feeling anything for that matter) I always turn to food, so I think that says a lot about the way you deal with things in your life. I hope you'll have some time this weekend to invest more time in yourself, heal and cheer up!

I know I have a pretty eventful weekend which started with a nice brunch this morning. I started tracking my calories for today but kind of gave up after seeing how high it was (yeah I know, it's not very helpful). So I'm not really going to be tracking this weekend but I am trying to stay in check and I'll definitely do my workouts!

Have a great weekend ladies!

Erin relationships are definitely not easy let alone break ups! Vent as much as you need to.
I hope you'll be able to decompress today and get a good nights sleep. Lack of sleep definitely doesn't help anything!

Ladies- Sorry this party of three was a party of two for a while :(. These last few days have been crazy/stressful. In a nutshell- I have recently broken up with my bf of five years and i'm on the road- all my stuff is at his place. We haven't talked since the break, but two nights ago he called... it was late and I needed sleep so it wasn't a long convo, but yeseterday... 3.5 hours... I haven't been able to do much. I HAVE got my workouts in, thank goodness (I actually did one right before i called yesterday, I knew I would be in a better mood if i did), but things have been stressful.

Oiy. Sorry to be a downer- at least I got the workouts in, though! Yay for that.

K- better mood tomorrow. It HAS to get better then this.

Hi girls!

I hope you're having a good week!

I'm doing much better this week! Like I said, I being very consistent with my workouts and I'm actually really enjoying them! And tonight I'm going out dancing so I'll be burning some extra calories!

Darcy- good for you for getting back to the gym! I really miss going to the gym... It's funny, I've been going to the gym for so long I didn't even realize how much I'd miss it when I don't have it! As far as entering your points, I saw that you entered points for Tuesday (4/12) twice but none for Monday. Should I just count one of those days for Monday or do you want to re-enter it for Monday and I'll disregard one of the Tuesday's? Other than that you're on track (up until Wednesday, not including)!

I'm glad you both had a fun weekend! And I agree- dancing definitely counts as a workout in my book!

I've been doing pretty well. I've been consistent with my workouts which I'm really happy about! I'm on day 5 of the slimdown challenge and it's definitely challenging!!! I am quite sore, but that's a good thing! I'm thinking of adding some more cardio with these DVD's but I'll see how I finish this week and then I'll decide. My eating has been better this week too. So all in all everything is going pretty well!!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

P.S. are we the only three left in this team???

Erin great job and I am glad you had such a fun weekend, you deserve it!

I had a bachelorette party this past weekend and even though it was full off food and wine, it was also full of dancing and I think that totally counts as a workout! If you are moving consistently and break a sweat, workout! :)

Hi Ladies!

Happy Tuesday! I'm so proud of myself! I managed to get a good workout in yesterday (even though it was late) and STILL managed to go to bed and get a good nights sleep. Normally if I work out late I have a hard time going to bed... but I force myself- and a good thing too! I needed the sleep. We have a five show day tomorrow, so I need to prepare myself this weekend.

I'm feeling a little veggie withdrawl right now, so hopefully I'll be able to find a nice salad for lunch or dinner today... that would be absolutely amazing!

xoxo

Noga- I think it's probably just 50 points in general. Not positive, but that's how I read it.

This weekend was amazing! However... I didn't get nearly enough sleep, and I didn't eat the greatest either. Not horrible, but not up to par. Ah well, it happens right? And I don't regret it either- which is a HUGE step forward for me. It's okay to splurge every once and a while, right? Also- Saturday night one of my friends and I went dancing... which was SO MUCH fun. I didn't get my workout in on Saturday =(, but we did dance for about 2.5 hours... so hopefully that makes up for some of it.

But here we go... a new week, and I'm ready for it! Let's do this ladies!

Hi again!

So it's a beginning of a new challenge week! I went back to the form I originally made and edited it so now it's a monthly form. Just notice which questions you need to fill out for each week since some of the challenges differ from week to week.

Last week wasn't a very good week for me as far as eating well and exercising but I'm committed to make this one better! I'm glad we have the water challenge this week because I drink a ton of water so I'm sure I can help out with those points! Also, as I was going through the form I noticed that for the strength training bonus it said to give yourself 50 points for every workout you do that works biceps, triceps, shoulders or chest. So if I do a workout that involves all of those do I get more points? I'm not clear about that...

Okay, enough rambling! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and let's kick some butt this week! emoticon emoticon

Hi all!

I hope you're having a great weekend!

I finally did my workout today! It was only a 20 minute workout but it's something! Now I just have to stick with it! I finished the 30 Day Shred a few weeks ago and since then I've been toying around with doing the 30 Day Slimdown challenge which combines two more DVD's. So far I've only done the first day and stopped after that, but this week I'm determined to do it! I have no excuses, just laziness, so enough! So here goes! Day 1 complete, on to the next! Also, I think it's crazy how quickly my muscle endurance drops! A couple of weeks ago I was able to do level 3 of the Shred pretty easily (it was still a challenge, but a welcomed one) and today I went back to level 1 (after not doing anything for 2 weeks) and I was panting and my muscles were so sore! Argh! I need to learn to be consistent :)

Copying and pasting worked! (how strange)

Erin, you blow me away! I am so impressed that you are able to workout on a regular basis and eat well with such a busy schedule. Thanks to the past two weeks it has been confirmed that the first thing to go when my schedule gets intense is working out with eating well at a close second.

My points have been pathetic for this week! On the plus side I now feel re-energized to take on the challenge and increase my workouts / healthy food intake starting today!

Happy Friday ladies!

Hi Ladies- HAPPY FRIDAY!!! =)

Noga- the morning is a GREAT time to workout. Generally- it's my favorite time. I'll roll out of bed and be working out within 15 minutes max. When I have a stable job- I always do the morning, because I know it's consistent. While I'm on the road, however... I just can't push myself to get up that early, plus if the hotel doesn't have a fitness center- I can't do it in the morning (I'd wake up my tour partner... and anyone below me!).

Darcy- enjoy your weekend and your run!

I'm so excited right now! I wish we could just do our last show of the day and get going! Soon, though. I just finished my weekly paperwork (so I dont' have to worry about it this weekend!) and now it's just a waiting game for a little until our next show in a little less than an hour. Hopefully we'll be on the road by 3:00... fingers crossed!

Have a great weekend!

Hi!
Erin- thanks for the insight about working out! You're right, I just need to set a time to do it (probably in the morning to get it out of the way!) and just do it! I admire you for being able to stick to a routine with a crazy schedule like yours! Have fun in St. Louis!

Darcy- I hope you'll get to have a relaxing weekend! I can't seem to figure out why the link doesn't work when clicking on it (it doesn't work for me either) but if you copy and paste the link it should work.

Have a great weekend!

Darcy- Hey girl! Sorry work has been so crazy... I had to copy and paste the link, it didn't work for me when I clicked it either- but the copy/paste thing did.

Noga- Thanks for the food insight. As for the DVDs... pick a time when you are going to do them... and do them. I know it's hard, I know it's crazy... but as someone who lives on the road constantly- that's what I have to do. I know that when I get to my hotel at night, I have 15-20 minutes MAX before I have to push play. That gives me time to settle in, unwind, change, and relax a minute- but then it's time to go. It's hard at first, but I know you can do it!

I'm super excited about this weekend! I'm visiting a friend in St. Louis... and I CAN"T WAIT!!! Whoo hoo for being able to visit friends while one the road. I will try to check in, but if not- I will do it on Monday for sure!

Happy weekend all!

Hello everyone! My name is Darcy and I am a Graphic Designer and avid runner from Philadelphia, PA.
Sorry to be so delayed in joining the team, the last two weeks have been crazy busy at work!
My goal for this week was to get back on track with regular exercise... so far not doing so well... I am participating in a 10mile run on May 1st so I really need to get my rear into gear!

Hi Erin!
I know what you mean about being nervous to eat more, I have the same problem. But I found that eating more actually helped with my weight loss. For a few weeks I was eating no more than 1200-1250 calories, and some days less than 1200. I really wasn't hungry. But I was only losing 1 lb a week. Then I decided to increase my intake to about 1300 calories and the following week I lost 2.5 lbs (which is more like my normal weight loss). So for me that worked. I'm still nervous about eating more and usually I'm not even that hungry, but I found that it does help (especially if you're feeling hungry and tired), and eating every 3 hours is also a big part of it (I like eating smaller meals during the day).
I think part of my weight loss journey is working on my relationship with food and stop being so scared and worried about it... It's a work in progress, and this week has definitely been a set back. I've gone off track completely, eating junk and a lot of it, and not working out. I keep telling myself I'll get back on track but every day I go back to eating junk food. I really miss my gym (I don't have a gym membership now that I'm in Israel for the next month) and even though I brought my Jillian Michael's DVD's I can't seem to get myself to do them.... I just stopped caring (but not really, because I feel so guilty and ashamed). Anyway, sorry for being such a downer, I hope to be my old, cheerful self tomorrow!

HI hi! Hope all is well. I'm absolutly exhausted today. I don't know what's going on. Exhausted, and hungry. I just realized that I"ve been eating "too few" calories... but eating more makes me nervous. Any thoughts?

Happy Wednesday!

Erin- no problem- I added your 60 minutes or exercise! And I will gladly be our team captain, unless somebody else is etching to be a captain emoticon
Sounds like you have your day planned really well! Eating on the road can be really difficult, I know I'm having trouble, being out of my routine, and I'm not even on the road! But we can do it!
Have a great day everybody!

Noga- Thanks for the spreadsheet- that makes life so much easier! However... opps! I forgot to add my fitness minutes on Sunday- is it possible to add 60 minutes for me? Thanks!

Since Noga will be able to access that information- and took charge and did it for us- I nominate her to be our captain :)

Today is going to be a great day... I know it. I've been having trouble eating on the road- but I had a big breakfast this morning (since I don't know when I'll actually be able to eat a meal and not a snack today... busy day!) and I stocked up on some groceries last night, so I feel pretty set. Now... to have it work!

Happy Tuesday all!

Hi Ladies!

Can't wait to get this started. I didn't have internet this weekend, so I haven't been able to check out the challenge yet- but whatever it is, I know it will help me. This weekend I ate HORRIBLE (Seriously- one night I had animal crackers and peanut butter for dinner... this is SO NOT ME)... but being on the road can be difficult. I need to restock up my "groceries" and get some more fruits and veggies into my life. Yikes! I was hoping to do that over my lunch break, but we ended up in a small town that we can't even find a grocery store in! Argh! (thank goodness the library has wireless!). So... lunch was a bagel and cream cheese that something posessed me to grab at the hotel breakfast this morning. Thank you food... but not exactly the best choice. Oiy. Oh well... Time to get back on track- right now!!!

Good luck ladies!

Hi again!

So I made a spreadsheet for this week to help keep track of the points. You don't have to use it but you're welcome to if you want to!

My goal for the month is to do the 30 Day Slimdown Challenge. I started it today so I won't be completely done with it by the end of the month, but my goal will be to do it consistently!

My goal for the week is to eat within my calorie range 5 out of 7 days this week (I already missed yesterday so I need to be really good starting today)!

Hi All!

My name is Noga, I am 26 years old and I will be joining your team (I'm always late in noticing the challenges but never late in anything else)! The March challenge was the first team challenge I participated in and it was a great motivator for me! I'm really looking forward to this month's challenge because so far April hasn't started off very well for me. I'm visiting my homeland of Israel and I've been struggling with getting my exercise and eating right. I've been having a lot of fun meeting family and friends but since I'm completely out of my routine it's very challenging! Anyway, I don't want to let my team down so I'm hoping this will motivate me to get back on track!

Oh, I made a spreadsheet for my last team which made it easier to track points so I'm working on one for this challenge and I'll post it soon!

Have a great week! Go Purple! emoticon

Greetings All-
I'm a 28 and have always been the cute, slightly round girl (that's right...practically a walking, talking cabbage patch kid). I was very comfortable in this role as I will still able to do a lot of activities. Have recently decided I want to do more and have become more involved in sparkpeople to help take me to the next level.
Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of this fantastic team! I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Emily

Hi All!
I'm Erin, 27... and on the road right now with my job. It's fun... but challenging since we're living out of a car and various hotel rooms for 7 weeks straight!
I'm in LOVE with TurboFire (which is the program I purchased before I hit the road this time around), and a bit obsessed with Chalene (the creator) and all things Turbo.
And that's me in a nutshell! I'm excited about this challenge because it helps me stay on track when I'm on the road. Can't wait to meet everyone!
