We're in for a little snow tonight! But middle 30's during the day and back down to freezing at night so hopefully will keep the flooding to a minimum! Sure living sunny days!

All the water running on the main street last night was from a water tank that sprung a leak up on the hill! Thousands of gallons literally down the drain!

Yes! We really need this thaw, freeze stuff or it will flood. Sure lots of broken water lines around town. Shoveling the snow that is coming off the roof and patio cover. Icy spots all over!

Was up to 41 here for a few minutes, but mostly 38/39 range. Wind pretty much non-existent. The thawing streets are slushy and full of pot holes. Wishing it would all melt right now, but realizie that would mean flooding, so I'm hoping for long and slow...

However, it is still a GREAT improvement over our February weather!!

I think we got up to 11 but the wind is just vicious. I'm just freezing. Don't know if it's just because I'm tired but that wind feels like it's going right through me and I have on my long underwear and warm clothes and coat? I cranked up the heat so the bathroom is just toasty and getting ready to take a bath and head to bed!

I think the snow will miss us. At least that's what it looked like on the early evening news. Not complaining!

It got above zeroF here today, but nowhere near "normal". I had a "snow day" from work as the access road was drifted enough that 4-wheel drives were needed. The county road got plowed before noon, but the parking area was still drifted, so I stayed home all day. Got a bunch of kitchen stuff done, like soup for lunches the rest of the week and a big batch of burger fried up. Of course, it was all things that I should have done yesterday...

Wind is supposed to slack off later this evening, so I suppose I'll go to work tomorrow.

It seems strange that your area has been having nastier weather than we have.

Was -18F when I first checked about 6:40, now up to a balmy -3F, but windy enough that the wind chill is -24F.

Our predicted -32F turned out to be -23F which didn't hurt my feelings one bit.

That wind is still nasty - the wind chill advisory goes until 11 a.m. tomorrow, but the afternoon forecast is for blowing snow w. wind chills in the -25F to -35F range????

Oops, just looked and the advisory for today-tonight-tomorrow is a winter weather advisory...

Ya think??

-8 and 19 below wind chill at 10 p.m. I'm a moron! Wal-Mart on Friday and the first of the month???? Came home just after 5 and got stuck in the "driveway" in the alley! Much windier then! Took me 30 minutes to get unstuck and shoveled out!

Didn't get the patio cover scraped off and that really worries me! Hopefully no more snow tonight and I can make a valiant effort tomorrow? Supposed to get REALLY cold tonight!

No engine heater for me either! That's part of the reason I went to IGA at 9:00. Will go out in a few hours and fire up the car again. Have to take a neighbor kid to a birthday party at 2:00 on Saturday. His dad is going to the airport in Great Falls to pick up his mom so I said I'd do it! Hope they get the highway plowed so he has a safe trip! Sounds like bad roads all over the state!

Feel sorry for ranchers who are lambing and calving in this extreme cold! Saw lots of frozen cows and newborn calves in central Washington on the news!

Not much snow here so far, but nasty north wind. When I took our statements to town to mail about 2 o'clock, the precipitation was more like freezing fog.

So far it's dropped to -3F and around -20F wind chill (at about 12 mph). Not looking forward having to go to work tomorrow if it hits the predicted -27F. My car does not have an engine heater and I hope it will start. No playing the "I'm going to wait until it warms up some" card in the morning as there are only two of us scheduled...

I looked at the Glasgow temperature bar graph for Feb and the first two days had somewhat normal temps and since then only one day has had the high temp peek into the normal range, getting a couple degrees above the normal low for that date. And it looks like it may be at least another week before we see some close to normal temps.

It's 6 above and -25 wind chill. Really snowing and blowing out there but I have to go shovel off the car and get to the library and the grocery before it gets really cold. Will attempt to keep up with the sidewalks over the course of the weekend but the predictions for bitter cold and even worse wind chills make me think soup and reading are the goals of the weekend!

Actually got above zero today for a few minutes... Now rapidly heading toward the predicted low of -25F (Which will probably be surpassed). Also a light wind which at these temperatures make it really nasty outside. Snow is finished the falling from the sky stage and now in the wind rearranging process.

Just came in from IGA. Warmed up the car & drove out to Wal-Mart, turned in their parking lot and headed back down the highway for IGA! it's 9 below and -45 wind chill!!!! Snowing and blowing! Did get a little shoveling done while the car was warming up! Couldn't even see my tire tracks when I came back home! Lots of drifting! Did a 360 leaving the parking lot at the grocery store! Exciting stuff!

I think we got up to -6. It was so sunny and bright out I was feeling like I should drive to Helena. Nope! Wind picked up here just after dark! Still no snow - not that I am complaining. Will see what the weatherman says at 10:00 news. I called the main number at Ft. Harrison and cancelled my appointment.

At least I had the temperature break while I was traveling but I'm tired of this too. Friend over in Hamilton talked to my mom and said the snow was really coming down over there all day long! Scared of the heat bill!

And further east on the Hi-Line we hit -20F. Supposed to get to a whopping -5F today, with -27F predicted for tonight. Will probably be -35F if the trends from the past few days holf up.

I'm so done with below zeroF weather!!! As if I had a choice - we have at least another week of it...

It's a balmy -21 here on the Montana Hi-Line! Definitely going to reschedule my early Monday morning VA appointment 210 miles south of here! Just too risky in this bitter cold and with the snow predictions for the next 48 hours! Lots of indoor chores to get caught up on anyway!

Just let the dogs out and my thermometer says -14. About an inch of snow since 10 p.m.! No wind to speak of. Just checked the weather so on my Kindle and it shows all but one of the next 10 days double digit below zero! Some awful whiteout photos from drivers heading home from basketball tournament! Guess I'll reschedule my VA appointment! Not as brave as I used to be on winter roads! March is definitely coming "in like a lion" - or a polar bear!

Miserable day here today - it got up to about 10F, but the wind was blowing 20-30 mph, so it was ground blizzarding. Wind supposed to go down some tonight, but tomorrow's high is supposed to be -4F. And around -30F for Sunday night. All next week is looking chilly, too.

Hardly seems like less than a month until spring...

Needed to see that meme. Trying to decide about driving down to Helena tomorrow for an early Monday morning appointment or cancelling it. We have had light powered sugar snow falling all day long. About 2 inches. Came home to lots of snow to shovel. Did some of it and will call around and find someone else to finish up the front walks. My back and knees are finally feeling good and I don't want to overwork them and be in that kind of pain again if I don't have too.

Sounds like we are only in for a couple more inches but Great Falls and Helena getting more. Helena the most. (14-16 inches?) I don't like that canyon when it's snow-packed and icy. It's cold. The wind chill about -20. But the streets are fairly cleared off and intersections not too bad. I was out running around today and quite surprised at how well they have been taking care of the snow.

Train doesn't go there. Could get me to Portland but that's as close as it gets! Kind of like Montana. Only runs on the edge and no buses to finish the trip.

Do you think the gods are against this trip? Maybe you should consider the train...

Sure hoping this weather improves soon. Of course, then we will probably have to contend with flooding... If it isn't one thing, it is another!!

Thinking it might be possible that I will get to GTF with no problems to fly out on Tuesday and then get stuck in Seattle. Just my luck!

I think we got at least a good inch of snow yesterday. Just a skiff in the night but more supposed to be coming this evening.

It's -15 and the wind chill is -36 (according to the Weather Channel). Just know it took 3 times for my dogs to get their business done this morning. I hate it if I have to run out there and rescue them when they start trying to hop around on 3 legs! Goofy dogs won't just use the papers!
