The things I do that go against Dr. Fuhrman's advice are:
* I use salt (hoping to cut it out at some point)
* I have some store-bought hummus instead of making my own
* I eat a few rice cakes per day
* I eat half an avocado per day, I think he wants us to eat less than that.
* I eat more nuts.
* I have about 1 Ts of mayonaise for dressing.
* I eat potatoes and sweet potatoes frequently while he says to avoid them most of the time.
* I have not yet figured out the supplements and no idea how to supplement iodine, I do use a multi-vitamin for the time being.
* I don't eat a salad every day, maybe 2 times per week.
* On occasion (maybe 2 x per month?) I will eat 1 or 2 eggs. But I intend to cut that out to, it was my dieticians advice to eat them but I don't really like eggs.

I do eat 3 fruits per day, have 1 bowl cooked vegeatables and beans for lunch and about the same amount with my evening meal, I try to have a green smoothie daily, I eat raw vegetables on most days (bell peppers, carrots, cucumber), I think I get 0.5 to 1 lbs of raw veggies per day.
I don't eat any meat nor fish nor dairy. I have a Ts of flax seeds daily.

This is what I am doing since February 28, 2018. It's part of my elmination diet. I may change what I do once I am done with the elmination diet, though I hope to continue to use ETL as a guideline / something to strive for.

Do you follow ETL strictly? Or do you follow most of the rules but make exceptions? What are your exceptions?

In other words if you deviate from the plan, what do you do differently?
