Mid range Ninja, about 270.00 on sale. It is loud, but I don't have any neighbors so it is okay.

Vitamix all the way. It's worth the money.

I have three blenders and i end up using the nutri blender for smoothies, it blends the smoothie very smooth even better than the ninja blender that is more powerful. You can make a smoothie in the cup and drink straight from the cup (comes with a lid), just wash the blade and your done.

I have a stick blender for blending soup right in the pot.

I have an inexpensive food possessor and some choppers that I will use for stuff as well

For years I used a heavy-duty Oster blender and a food processor, but the smoothies were just too chunky. Then I got a Nutri-Bullet for Christmas. Loved it, left just a bit of grittiness but no chunks, but had the darnedest time unscrewing the mechanism after running it. It was even hard with Vaseline applied. I finally bit the bullet and bought a Vitamix. Can't sing its praises enough. Worth every penny. Fantastic silky smoothies, and fast. I'm drinking one now made with 2 large leaves of kale (including stalks), 1/3 banana, 5 strawberries, 1 whole orange, 1/2 c blueberries, 1/2 fresh pineapple chunks, almond milk. 1 Tbs flaxseed, 1Tbs hemp hearts, no sweetner. Delish!

I'm now starting to look at nutritarian recipes, and many of those in Dr Fuhrman's book require blending, grinding, processing...

I've had a blender/processor before but rarely used it as it seemed too much effort to clean it etc...

I guess though that it's easier to clean that than grate a carrot... and I definitely need it to grind seeds and chop nuts with...

Anyhow - I was just wondering if any of you who are more experienced in eating raw/vegan/nutritarian/clean etc, have any tips on what sort of blender/grinder/processor I would find most useful?

God gave me a picture of a lump of coal with lots of beautiful colours in it - reminded me that diamonds are formed in the dark under pressure

Comfort eating is best replaced by a milky decaf coffee and some time with God...
