For 2 persons I put 2 pieces of fruit (any fruit really, usually apple, pear, orange or banana) in the blender with 2 big handfulls of spinach or endives or kale (sometimes parsley). Sometimes I will add some celery or cucumber and on days when we're out of leafy greens I have used ONLY celery and cucumber. Be sure to pick a different kind of leafy greens at least once every two weeks or some of the phytochemicals in the vegetables will build up in your body and that's not desirable.
I then add two glasses of water and blend. We have one tall glass of this before we have a breakfast with some oats and fruit and nuts.

I do half greens and half fruit well approximately...I fill the blender cup with some water, protein powder, cranberries and greens blend in the blender then add the fruit and blend some more....and that is what I do for a smoothie


I use any greens except mustard...too strong

I use any fruit I have...apples, oranges, pears, pineapple, ect....I freeze fruit like papaya, mango, berries, cherries, kiwi, bananas, grapes ect

oh by the way I mix what is not sweet first then the sweet second and that helps with not getting chunky greens.

I work really odd hours and would like to do a green smoothie as a breakfast a couple of days a week. Does anyone have a good guide of amount of greens to fruit and water that you find works really well? Or what greens and fruits work well together?
