This is not official, but I don't recall meals being equal or snacks being equal in calorie value as a rule. Snacks might come closer to the same amount.

MANY people believe in a good breakfast. Some prefer lunch the larger meal and small dinner as they are less active in the evening. Others dinner is always the largest meal.

I was born not hungry until around 4 in the afternoon. Part of my weight gain absolutely began in my 40's when I thought maybe I should have breakfast ... everyone says it's so important. Then I was hungry (for the first time) for lunch. And on came the pounds over the years.

I wouldn't worry about it if what you are doing is working for you.

Can you "bank" calories or protein by having fewer in your snack then have more at lunch, I have not been doing this intentionally but while I seem to hit my numbers for the day they are off (often far off) on individual meals
