What made me proud is that I stuck to my eating plan all week-end. Although I don't vary off the path very often, I struggle every weekend when I have any downtime. This week I spent a lot of time getting acquainted with SP, and didn't really think about food.

I finished 4 miles on the treadmill & stayed w/in the lower part of my calorie range today. YEAH ME!

Yesterday, we took my mom to Red Lobster for her birthday. Everyone else got fried foods (yuk!), and I got grilled shrimp and broccoli instead of a potato or rice, and my salad with the dressing on the side (I didn't even use half of the dressing). I even resisted the biscuits. My beverage was ice water with lemon. A month ago, I didn't even think that I had the ability to make such good choices, especially on a consistent basis. I started out the year with the mantra "I believe I can achieve" - even though I didn't believe it at the time - and it worked! For the first time in my life, I really do believe I can do this!

Even though the scale is moving very slowly, I am so proud of how far I have come in the past five and a half weeks. This is a lifestyle change, and this is a journey I plan to continue.

I went to the gym early AND all by myself. Did 60 minutes of cardio. Boy does that feel good.

I had a spa day at home. Gave myself a pedicure, a facial, shaped my eyebrows, etc. Then I took a nice 30 minute walk. It's been a great day!

I did 3 sets of 20 reps of standing leg lifts in front on me; then 3 sets of 20 reps to each side; then 3 sets of 20 reps behind me. GLORY to GOD!

I actually packed a cooler for a Saturday! It was pretty cool and the kids liked that I had goodies while we were out and about so we did not have to stop for fast food (which I don't anyway, but they sure wish I did). We had a few stops and then went to Trader Joes and as soon as I purchased my bananas, I just let them eat it right there in the store.

I went and fully participated in 2 exercises classes this morning. One was a stretch class and the next one was a cardio jazz class, which was great fun!

I am proud because I have fallen off the wagon while we did some renovations, but today I got up and got on the scale (gained 5 punds over the last week!) but I am getting back on track today!

telling my co workers about my daughter. last night she wanted to walk to grandma's house (3.5 miles from our place)! well, her and i walked 2 miles and had to call dad to come get us because it was getting too dark!

I drank all eight glasses of water and only had one can of diet pop. Also, I stayed within my calorie range!

I did most of my morning exercises even though I was running late for work. Took my lunch which is 400-500 calories less than the choices at work.

I went to Wendy's and ordered a side salad and grilled chicken sandwich INSTEAD of a frosty and fries!

Goals:

May 17, 2008- first triathlon- DONE! 1:21:47

June 5, 2008- hit the 40 pounds lost mark!

June 7, 2008- my fastest 5k ever! 28:28

September 6, 2008- 2nd half marathon-2:12:38- 31 minutes faster than my first half!

February 25- Hit 50 pounds lost!!!

April 18, 2009- Salt Lake City Marathon- 1st marathon- finish time 4:34:47

I got on the scale this morning... knowing that it wouldn't give me a nubmer I liked. (I am up about a pound and a half.)

But I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I just mentally and physically recommitted myself to doing things well. And even though last week was a terrible eating week, I can look back and see that I did make some really positive choices.

I'm very proud of that.

Lets take a hint from the show. Lets every day post something that we did to make ourselves feel proud.

What made me feel proud= I measured myself (which made me proud because I hate to because of the numbers). What made me even more proud was that I am down 3 inches in my waist.
