You ladies are giving me a little hope. I just turned 39 and still have yet to have baby number 1. I wish you all the best!

I'm 36 and pregnant with #2...DS is 2 1/2, so I wasn't much younger when I had him. I know I'm technically 'high risk' because I'm over 35, but other than mentioning that to me, my Dr. hasn't done anything differently. I did have a disappearing twin this time...I think that conceiving twins increases with age, more likely to 'misfire' 2 eggs ;). My pregnancy symptoms have been different this pregnancy, but I would have expected that regardless of age.

Hi there! I'm 38 and trying for #2. My daughter was conceived on my husband's and my first try, but trying for the second has been a completely different experience with no success. I'm just starting the fertility assistance process. I'm crossing my fingers the journey is easy and stress free for both you and me!

My third is 3 1/2 months and I'm 39 (will be 40 in November). My second is 22months. Doctors recommend more testing over 37, but as long as you're healthy, eat well and exercise, I don't know that you'll notice a difference. You may be slightly more tired, but since you have older children, you'll hopefully be able to rest a little more. Even though my last two are only 18 months apart (my oldest is 6yo), I didn't do extra ultrasounds or bloodtests with the second, only the third (I think I fell through the cracks with the second!), but none of it was too bad. Just a lot of extra copays!!

Hi there, I am a 38 year old woman (yes, that's right!) going for baby number 3. My oldest is 10, and my youngest is 8. I am just looking to connect with other women my age who are going to try for another pregnancy. I have read up a lot on pregnancy after the age of 38 and well beyond, and it does seem to attract a new set of rules.

Have you noticed anything different in your pregnancy/efforts at this age compared to the younger years?
