Have accidentally stumbled on the answer to my glooms - bananas! Here's what I wrote in my blog about it!

the last few months I've been feeling gloomy on and off. And lately it seemed I was even worse. Tearful sometimes. And I know that going for a walk is supposed to lift your mood. Before, I used to feel great after a long walk, although tired. But lately, I've found even a half hour walk tiring and I think maybe the tiredness was making me feel gloomy?

Anyhow, a week and a half ago I bought a bunch of bananas, and a half week ago I bought a second bunch (even though I hadn't yet eaten the first). Then the first bunch went ripe suddenly all together. So I was eating 1 or 2 every day. By which time the 2nd bunch was ready for eating, so I've started on them.

Well I have been gloom free for the last 3 days, and I've also just been for a half hour walk and come back feeling better for it and without getting tired!

So... let's hear a Woohoo! for bananas!

Any advice on/experience of mood swings? Is it true that cutting out sugar helps? Any advice gratefully received!
