Rice section of my local big store- the Safeway. I've seen it at Whole Foods & Trader Joes, but the Safeway price was really good.

I bought red cargo rice for the first time- and just want to pass on the word- DANG- it's tasty. Kind of a cross in taste between white and wild rice- more nutty, more tasty, and takes a tad longer to cook.
YUM- on healthy food!

I found the Caribbean pizza! It wasn't at the stores I usually buy food at, but I was in SuperTarget for some other things, and there it was.

Allan will like the mangoes on it. I'll cook it tomorrow when he comes back from Dallas (TGIF).

Still thinking about that pin~a colada - and from there, coconut - does anyone use coconut oil, or coconut milk?

I love anything with pineapple. It must have pineapple. My hub. always wants pineapple on pizza we order. My store had 5 other Kashi varieties. I had a roasted veg. one in the freezer, and I ate it yesterday. But I like the LaRocco Greek Sesame better than the veg. It's also vegetarian, and lower in calories.

Now I'm ready for a breakfast pina colada.

I couldn't find the caribbean pizza either. i'm looking for it in Indy today.

I was only in Bahama Breeze once. I think they're closed in Indy too.

Our main store didn't have it, but I have others where I still go sometimes, and I'll check there. The spices might be too strong for me, too.

We used to have a Bahama Breeze restaurant, and I loved it. I was a mystery diner for them -- I gave good reviews, but they went out of business. A large corporation owned it. I can't remember which one. Anyone have a Bahama Breeze?

My taste preferences have gotten less exotic as I got older. I used to love all cuisines, not anymore.

Well, my husband was nonplussed and my 4yo flat-out rejected the Caribbean Carnival.

But I still liked it the second time.

YMMV.

For 'in the hand' stuff, I really like Trader Joe's Tamales. The green chili and cheese is tasty. I agree about Amy's burritos- they just don't cut it for me.... the 'Guiltless Wraps' are pretty good.
Mostly I make my own, but I'll buy those & stick them in the freezer for taking to work when I'm short of time or leftovers.

Gotta love Kashi. i like Amy's and my kids love the burritos. A few things though, I find are oddly spiced.

I haven't seen the Caribbean pizza, but have been buying AJ LaRocca Greek Sesame Pizza with whole wheat crust. Pizza is my weakness.

I like Amy's canned soups. Allan really likes the low sodium lentil vegetable, for a shortcut when I don't cook the lentils myself.

I agree - I like Amy's food too. She has some good pizza and frozen meals as well. Her Brown Rice/Tofu Veggie bowl is a great go to lunch when there isn't much time to pack something homemade.

I like Amy's pizza's, too- the single serving is a nice size.

Not spicy, no. Just perfect flavoring.

1/3 pizza was enough for me for a regular meal. I looked at my calories for the day and realized I had barely broken 1,000, so I did end up getting another piece. I'd likely pair a serving with some broccoli or something under normal circumstances.

It looks great...2 questions:

Was it spicy?

And how filling was the portion...1/3 of the pizza?

I love the toppings...really unique...but the jerk sauce may not be to taste...jerk is always to spicy and hot for my palate.

I picked up this new Kashi pizza yesterday morning, and my mom and I had it for dinner (at 5:00, pre-Halloween trick or treating) while the boys had something more cheesy.

It was deLISH. Mom and I both kept commenting on how good it was. And she is most definitely NOT a vegetarian! A hit with veges and carnis alike!
