What I'd find most helpful would be to have my goal ranges for calories, fat, protein, and carbs right on the iPhone nutrition tracker, like they are on the web version. I don't quite have them memorized :)

It would be really nice to be able to track our goals (other than water).

QuickTrack, Fast Break, and any other Goals we have set

Keep up the good work. This is a great app with lots of potential.

Nancy, I use the shared calories all the time, and it's no big deal when I notice that one person's calorie entry is wrong or incomplete - I just delete it and either pick another one or stop being lazy and enter it myself... I wouldn't worry about it! (though it's super considerate of you to do so!!)

Awesome, thanks!!

I found something else I'd like to see. In the food tracker there are often not enough measurement choices, i.e. cups, ounces, Tbsp. Also you can't make anything smaller than 1/4 serving.

Sort of along those lines, I'd also like to be able to enter a food and then "hide" it from other members so they don't import it. That way if I don't feel like entering all the information that I don't track, I won't be messing up their results.

It could be something as simple as a box you'd check off that says "I've entered the complete nutrition information for this item". If you don't check it, it's not out there misleading anyone.

Seconding Nancy also - I always use the manual calories, since with my gowearfit and polar I get a more precise result.

Would it be possible to add a calorie summary section? Sometimes I don't want to enter all my food, just an estimate of how many calories are in it. That's especially handy at restaurants when you're guessing anyway :)

Thanks for putting out a great FREE product! Still can't believe that even all these additions to the basic website are coming for free.

I'd like to see the "Manually Enter Calories Burned", or something like it. I've always entered the info from the cardio machines into the "Notes" section of my iPhone and then I'd have to come home and re-enter it into SparkPeople. The application doesn't help with that since it doesn't take calories into account.

I love the application - I just have a calorie-based goal, not a set number of minutes.

POZEN, the workouts is definitely something we're considering! We want to first get stronger at helping people track on the go (things like calories burned and weight) but also want to look at adding our community and content, since we know those help people so much on the site.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think folks have given great feedback for how to improve the SP Calorie/Progress tracker on other threads...

Have you thought about a different app that includes workouts? You have great workout videos (even photos are helpful in the gym). I'd like to see something for resistance band workout positions/motions for the iphone (see the "Pret-a-yoga" app for an idea of functionality).

One of the AMAZING things about SP is the community/inspiration that we can get from the site... I personally like the articles that you make so readily available. If you could find a way to make the entire community available, that would be AMAZING... The facebook App is okay and does something similar as far as community is concerned.

SP has a HUGE opportunity to own the health and nutrition segment of the iPhone App world!

Thank you for all of the resources that you already provide (I just can't believe that it's free...)

I figured I'd just add to this list! I downloaded the new app and I'm so excited to have it :)

One thing that I've had to create workarounds for in the actual SparkPeople and would love to see in the iPhone version is a calculation that pulls the eating and exercise together. The Lose It! app has this - calories earned are subtracted from calories eaten. It also has a calorie target based on how much you weigh and how much you want to lose in a month, but I don't necessarily need that part.

What I ended up doing in here is putting the calculation in the Notes section. I also keep a runnning total each week of Net Calories. I add those up and figure that 3500 calories should lead to a pound of weight loss. Not perfectly, but it's a motivator. With the weekly total, I'd want to be able to set the start day of the week, though. My weigh in day is Tuesday, so I'd like my calculations to go Tuesday through Monday, if that makes sense.

Anyway, that's my daydream.

I have an iPhone. I would love to have the food, water, and fitness trackers and it update on my sp automatically (because iPhones have wifi everywhere). Additionally, it'd be nice to have some sort of daily motivation.
