thanks for reminding me or that one! I can't quite reach my foot yet, and when I do it sideways, I pull my knee in the wrong direction, so I have learned to use the strap if I really want to do that one.

I like the pigeon variation with the back leg bent - although I reach for the foot from the side and not over my head! ;) Gets both hip flexor and quad while getting that great hip stretch on the other side.

Deep forward bend, either standing or sitting. Pigeon and ballet pose. The front muscles of the legs need to be stretched also for your lower back.

Tight hamstrings can contribute to back pain, too. How do you like to lengthen your hamstrings?
