Hi Kate! Glad you are here! I love Susan Bordenkircher's book and video too - she also is one of the pioneers of Christian Yoga in this country. :) Looking forward to getting to know you!

I'm a bit late in responding and I haven't even introduced myself yet but I wanted to add to the list. Susan Bordenkircher is great - she has book called Yoga for Christians which includes an hour routine on dvd. the book covers setting intentions, incorporating scripture, poses, creating routines...

I just found another Christian Yoga site-new Day yoga. It looks great and she has DVD's and CD's also. Inspiring!

I always like to hear of other Christians incorporating yoga into their lives :)

Polly's "Yoga for the Muffin Top" was by far my favorite, partially because I think the term "muffin top" is so funny, even though I do have one!

Here is the link: http://www.yogaisyummy.net/?page_id=2011

I am going to try the sequence tomorrow...too late at night for Monday practice!

I'll be checking out yogaisyummy soon! I also highly recommend Brooke Boon's Holy Yoga DVDs. They are available on www.holyyoga.net . Level 1 is also free with the book Holy Yoga, which is available on amazon. I have all of her DVDs and the book - each DVD also has 5 different scripture meditations. Level 1 or Gentle would be very appropriate for a beginner.

Hi Katie,
You might want to check out Yoga is Yummy at http://www.yogaisyummy.net. She is Christian who teaches yoga and has DVD's available. She also has links to some youtube segments she has done so you could check those out for free. I have done some of the youtube segments and liked them. Easy to follow along to!

Can anyone suggest any guided practices on DVD, online, etc that are based in scripture or on Christian belief/worship?

I am still at a "beginner" level in yoga (not naturally very flexible) and would like to become more committed to my practice, preferably to work it into my morning devotional time as a meditative practice. Any suggestions?
