Well I added up my steps for October, 361,985! I exceeded my goal. I am so happy! I hope all those you posted did well too.

I've actually been doing MUCH better the last couple of weeks and especially this week. I'm back to tracking thanks to a challenge on another team, I'm getting my water as usual, I'm still trying to get some more "intentional" activity in, but it's coming along!

I just totalled my steps so far and I have done 238,734 steps. So need to do 81,266 steps in order to get to 320,000. I think I can do this.

How is every one doing in there goals?

Well... so far today I've tracked! I don't have class this evening as we've got a 6 page report due Wednesday and the prof. is giving us today to work on it. I like the idea of starting a new streak. Here goes!!

I continue to do over 10,000 steps a day and I am so glad. I am moving!

I think I'm gonna keep it simple for October. I'm not counting anything. I'm not crunching numbers.

My goal is to stop beating myself up.
I'm going to take the word failure out of my venacular.
I'm going to start thinking along the lines of progress and not perfection.

I'm going to get to know ME and MY needs...

I posted this in my blog, so will repost it here. It's actually pretty ambitious for me, but I think I can do it! I love the idea of "paying" myself to keep on track! I'm going to start small:

Nickle -
one for each day I track foods
one for each day I drink my 8 glasses of water
one for each day I am within my calorie range

Dime -
one for each day I eat my five fruits/veggies

Quarter (because this is where I'm failing most critically right now) -
one for each day I make myself do ANY exercise - and no, I'm not letting my weekly shopping trip count as exercise! Got to get those weights working again and make myself do my jumping jacks and QFCs!

This is 50 cents a day - I can do this!

$1.00 for each pound lost. Goal is 4 pounds for the month (I AM a Turtle, after all!)
$1.00 for each full inch. Goals are tough for these.

This should give me about a $20.00 "kitty" by the end of October - I will buy myself a new blouse!

Mine is to eat lunch every day. I'm not doing a very good job thus far. A first step is a trip to the store to stock up the work kitchen on potential lunch items. For which I need to make time. It never ends.

I will start this thread by saying my October challenge is to do 300,000 steps. I figure if I do 10,000 steps a day, which I have since October 1, I will get 300,000 steps for the month. My total steps as of October 6 is 71,526 steps.
