Wow, Marie... emoticon . That's an incredibly impressive burn. I'm going to try for at least 3,500 this week. My Montessori school is out but I still have to go to the university classes. At least I can go to the gym in the morning for aerobics now and I'll have a little more time during the day.

Patricia said to say hello. I went to Grecia yesterday to be a witness at her son's JP wedding. We had lunch at a Thai restaurant after the wedding and ate way too much.

Becky, it started with rain this morning then turn to snow flurries by mid-day. We had a lousy summer so I'm really don't feel ready for that white stuff emoticon but hey soon I'll be shocking my body with a different exercise that 's got to be good right?

BTW I didn't get any exercise in today AND blew the calorie intake too. Seems like I'm doing that every Sunday when the kids come over.

Hi Becky, I'm pretty please with my exercise this week, a big improvement from the last month or so. I'd like to bring it up to 3500cal next week combining strength & cardio.

Becky I haven't done any since last Wednesday and if it hadn't been for the challenge I would have just curled up on the couch with a good book. I hate feeling like this. It's some kind of a bug going around it seem like everyone you talk to is getting it. You feel like heck for a week then start to feel better for a few days, telling yourself that you must be getting over it. Then it hits back with a vengeance.

No cardio today, still can't get rid of that darn virus. Everyone around seems to be getting it too. So I figure I'd do the one demanding the least energy but producing result. That's what I like about the Bowflex program I can check out the burn for the workout before doing it, they figure it out using your weight & the amount of reps along with how much weight you use for each reps.

Ok I've decide not to push myself anymore, I've reached my weight so I'd like to just make sure I get myself into a regular routine doing a minimun of 30 minutes a day Monday through Friday and taking Saturday and Sunday off. I'll try burning at least 1500 cal/ week.

I don't currently have any specific goals as far as how much i burn or how many mins of exercise i am maily focusing on getting my butt back into exercise. I have been lazy for so long now and have gotten really discouraged. I seem to do better in the cold months than i do in the summer. I guess because i can't get out so i don't get distracted by wanting to go out instead of exercising. so right now i just want to focus on getting back into a routine of exercise and then gradually add the rest back in.

Might not be minus 500 degrees yet, Becky, but we got our 1st frost last night. Temp dropped to 32F. Bad sign, but we'll worry about it when the time comesthey're calling for sun at least for the next 5 days, I'll take it.

Would you belive I just spent a whole hour on the treadmill at 2.2 m/hr couldn't go faster without starting coughing. But I was determined I was going to get those points today and not just sitting there feeling sorry for myself.

I'm glad I started back posting on this thread it keep me accountable for my exercise. With the good start I had this week I ended up making it to 3/4 lbs not bad for the way I've been feeling the last few days.

Becky, I'm putting up the white flag for this week and officially declare you the winner.

I find Tae Bo and Turbo Jam are my best calorie burner, but enjoy Turbo Jam more then Tae Bo. Probably because the only Tae Bo I've done is with the Billy Blanks DVD's thee guy is nuts. The first time I did one of his workout I thought my arms were going to fall off. He works with those tubes that have a loop at the bottom to slip your feet in, and does a whole bunch of upper body drills using them, I mean it he's crazy. But man do you get a burn.

BTW you're on again for next week, I should feel better by then.

Marie, I have to do as much as I can on the days I have a little extra time. Yesterday was a holiday here so I "treated" myself to more exercise.

Today I went to a tai bo class for my 100 extra calories since it's new for me. You really do get a workout!!

So, we're on....let's burn more and beat the bananas this week!!!

I am hoping I can enventually work out a new schedule that will work for me. I took the letter from my belly dance instructor to class last night stating that for medical reasons I had to attend her class on Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 and the prof okayed my going an hour late on Fridays...so that's good news!!!

Don't worry about it Becky, It's just that you had mentioned about starting tae bo and I didn't see it in this week's exercise. I'm not half as busy as you and you got more minutes of exercise then me. Just take it easy and relax a bit while you can emoticon Do you know that with everything you have going you're in 2nd place overall for the minute of exercise??? That's quite an achievement. LD is so far ahead no one will catch her this time around.

Marie, I've had terrible luck with exercise this week. I was going to go to the tai bo class (1 1/2 hours) then stay for the hour yoga class, but I had a meeting that went over and I couldn't get there early enough for tai bo. I was going to go to yoga, but when I called a neighbor to see if she wanted me to take her, her son said there was no yoga class. I (obviously didn't go....and it turned out there was a class). And this morning I was so excited to find out that I only go to Saturday classes every other Saturday and I went dancing off to yoga and scurried over to the gym for aerobics....and there was no aerobics class. So frustrating....especially when my time is so limited now. I am going to try to at least do a belly dance DVD later but I have so much to do....

Ruthie, you were doing great for the longest time, you just have to get back in the swing if thing.

A couple of months after I reached my goal I tried to stop entering my calories and exercise, kept on posting in the general chat to stay in touch with everyone. It didn't take me to long to realise that it wasn't working the weight was creeping back on. So I decide I was better of spending a few wxtre min entering my stats and be accountable for if it was what it took to keep the weight off. I enjoy chatting with the girls and see how everyone is coming along. Even though I never met any of them, I somehow feel connected to them. Our group is small so its easy to keep tab and try to help each other out.

Pauline starts a new challenge every month, I participate in the challenge, then take it easy the week in between challenge, as you must have notice this week.

Today I did Turbo Jam Cardio mix #2 45 min/405cal

Temp is a little over 80 with a lot of himidity in the air. Went for a dip before and after workout.

Becky is pretty busy this week with parents teaches interview.

Becky, got to agree with you. I think it's because everyone has the same challenges, it makes it more competitive and you don't want to let your team down. I think I'll try to plan my exercise program around the next challenge that way I won have to change my strength and cardio days. Hi Ruthie, sooo glad you decide to come back. I missed you around here. I was actually thinking about you a couple of weeks ago when I finally decided to get my bike out of the shed and used it for the 1st time this summer.

On the last stretch home, that 1st day is when I thought about you, I remembered you mentioning some of the girls in group who were not prepared in case something went wrong. Well I sure hadn't prepared that day. Hadn't used my bike since the year before and just got on it and took of. A couple miles down the road when I got to the 1st steep hill realised the neither of my speed cable was working and I was stuck on the hard gear!!!!

Hello Ladies,

I have been missing in action and am pretty much still riding my bike but let the nutrition go and my weight is back. It sure is funny how I pretty much got to eat anything I wanted last year and this year my body got used to the cycling, now I have to go back to calorie counting along with switching it up again. I have increased my mileage and intensity this year and met a lot of goals I set so I'm very proud of that. Thanks Becky, I was smarter this time. I knew about the problem so I took a route with only small slope instead of hills and a shorter distance, AND went a leisure speed, no point hurting my knees. DH decided to come along after asking which route I was planning on doing.

Becky, my knees are almost back to normal now. Don't feel bad DH LOL at me when I got home. The 1st thing I said when I got home was "If I get a hold of that little so and so I'll wring his neck". Not so much about the bike, that was bound to happen, I've had it for years and never changed the cable on it BUT for not telling me about it.

Thu: 75 min/510 Biking I used the BMX/Mountain Bike count from SP, cause one of DS friend use my bike AND didn't tell me that after he used it only one speed worked on it. I found out when I went to change speed to go uphill. I'm getting to old for that by the time I got home my knees were killing me. No more biking until that's fix not a hilly 20 km route anyway.

You got it right, most of the time if I don't do my exercise routine as soon as I get home in the morning I don't seem to get the energy to do it later.

I would like to join. Since it is late in the week, I will shoot for 1/2 pound, but I doubt it. I am working on getting an exercise routine started. I do better if I know...I exercise now....Fix dinner now....Spark now.... If not I just want to sit on my behind. Could be my problem. Right?

Still here Becky, had computer problem today spent a good part of the afternoon with a Dell Technician and the rest of it with one from Sympatico to set up a Virtual Personal Vault on my security system with them. I'm starting to worry about loosing all my accounting data with this now I don't have to worry about it anymore.
