I surprised myself and was able to consistently document my food and exercise for the whole month--even with living in a hotel for two and half weeks. I will continue to do so for the month of May despite starting a new job next Monday. I hope that walking to work will increase my average calorie burn.

Ok so it's May now here is my self assessment for the April Challenge.

Food Tracking - concistent, did it every day.
Water Intake - Some days were easier than ever but I still haven't managed to make 8 cups a day a routine. I can maybe manage 6 cups so that will be my goal and then once that's easy I'll go for 8.
Weight is the same.
Most days last week I managed to stay within my calorie range and I have a better control of what I eat.

Ahh! I love old photographs from the past. It's so cool getting a glimpse to your loved ones lives before you knew them.

Great job with the walking! I've done it 4 days in a row and am most pleased with myself :D. I've also eaten within my calorie range 3 days in a row and I hope to continue!

Did a 5k walk event yesterday. Walked it with my mom :D. Walked this morning and will be walking this afternoon.

I've been doing calf raises for the past two days and will be adding other exercises to help prevent shin splints -cross fingers this lets me be able to run again without pain in that area and my ankles-. I've saved exercises to help and will do some tonight.

Trying to reach my water quota.

I've been tracking fairly consistently. The hotel has weak and spotty wif-fi so I have to be persistent. I tried using the phone app, but for some reason it doesn't completely sync with my regular account. For instance, it records my water intake but not my wheel-spin so I lost my check-in streak.

I think if any of us, but definitely me in particular try to plan our fluid intake around our eating as well as our drinking schedule then this can be beneficial.
Having 1-2 glasses of water just prior to eating anything, can help limit the ingestion of solids calories.
by having a 2-fold approach to water intake, it can help in reaching a daily quota.

Weekend confessions. I did not drink enough water on Saturday or Sunday despite my phone reminding me to drink water.
I continued tracking my foods but I overate. Actually I have overeaten everyday from Thursday to Sunday which is not good. I am getting back on track today and need to come up with a way to not overeat.
The good is that I did a Fitness Blender exercise Saturday morning. It was a crunchless ab workout and now my thighs are sore.

Do you have the app on your phone? I got it over the weekend. Makes tracking a lot easier when I am away from my computer (it sends me reminders to track my meals).

I am still tracking (I overate yesterday, ended up having KFC for dinner will definitely eat something better tonight).
I reached my 8 cups of water goal.

Today
I walked this morning and have picked a workout video for this afternoon.
Today is arm day and I found a video that uses no equipment from FitnessBlender.

Some cases of gastric reflux can be quite serious.esp. at night
Apart from the intake of mainly a vege-based diet, to aid with this.
Limiting caffeine, alcohol, fatty and spicy foods can help, a rule of thumb would not to consume any of these in the afternoon/evening.
replacing some meals with fruit/vege smoothies may help.
vegetable can make nice soups and pasties also.

Almond Milk is supposed to help with heart burn I've read.

Did a core workout for beginners video yesterday. And tracked my meals. Was so close with the water but didn't make it.
Been tracking today and I am 1 cup away from hitting my water goal (so many trips to the rest room :P).

Found a yummy looking and colourful veggie recipe today and will share it later (possibly tomorrow).

a lot more relaxed with having a smaller weight loss goal.
so far have already exceeded this weeks goal.
remains to be seen if there will be a rebound but quietly confident at this stage.
the important thing will be any loss averaged over the weeks.
water intake has been important and helpful in flushing excess salt from my system.
lower salt has meant less hypertension, lower bloodpressure and greater fluid loss.

I couldn't lose more than 1 pound in a week if my life depended on it so that'll be an easy one.
I finally got the SparkPeople app installed on my phone this morning (had to contact support cause it wasn't showing up in my Google Play Store and they sorted it out quickly :)). So tracking should be a lot easier for me now in the evenings and weekends.
Water will be the most difficult but I have a water bottle on hand so I will do my best!
And I'll try to be more active on the site. I've been mia for a long while now.

Track all your nutrition either with Sparkpeople or another personal log.
Drink 8 glasses of water each day, preferably 1-2 glasses before eating each time.
Try to be more active on the message boards.
Avoid losing more than 1 pound per week.
