Late summer/early Fall is the best time for produce! There are still many vegetables and fruits available, and the winter squashes and root vegetables are coming in also.

My faves are squash recipes. Stews, chili with pumpkin, roasted root vegetables and squashes...mmmmm.

It gets a lot tougher in winter to eat seasonally. I live in the Southern part of Ontario, Canada (about 2 hours away from Buffalo, NY), and in the winter, nothing is in season...lol. So, you're looking at squashes (which keep well) and old apples, some greenhouse stuff, and lots of imported stuff. I try to buy more frozen veggies at that point.

What produce is in season where you live? Look up some new recipes to try this week that use seasonal produce.
