Oh I've been awful replying and eating.

I have had some carrots and tangerines but not enough.
I'm still taking those cod liver oil pills everyday though.

I have to work on exercise and healthier eating overall.

It's been raining the last few days here and sunny today.

I'm still in my pj's for goodness sakes, I went to bed early last night and didn't wake up till 11:00am this morning.
I haven't felt the greatest, cold/cough stuff still lingering here.

I'm having a tupperware/margarita party this Friday, so I have to get on cleaning for that.

I have to take Wyatt outside to play here in a little and get myself out of this funk.

Hope everyone else here is better than me. :P

hi, ladies!!

it's the weekend...but have you still been sticking to your mini-challenge goals??? emoticon

hehe.

well, i have to admit i have NOT done as well with the omegas and fruits/veggies this weekend. the most i had was a spinach salad with salmon yesterday and the rest was so-so!

HOWEVER!

on the plus side, i've still done my turbo jam all weekend AND tonite i did 30 minutes of yoga! ahhhhh it felt so good! stretched me in all the right places (cause turbo jam finds muscles you didnt know you had. lol.) AND just relaxed and calmed me. i have missed doing yoga!!! emoticon i plan on getting back into the habit of doing it an hour or so before bedtime.

hope to hear from everyone tomorrow! let's do it!!

Thanks Josey~ exercising consistenly is something I've been working hard on these last couple of months.

just got done ridng my bike in the wonderful cool sunshine (only supposed to get into the 60s here today) for about 30 mins emoticon

alrighty! this week has been pretty good overall with the challenge for me!

yesterday i actually started doing the real 20-minute Turbo Jam workout instead of the Learn & Burn (about 15). i STRUGGLED through it, but today was a little easier altho my foot arches burned sooo bad! i had to keep stopping to stretch my calves (helps the arches) but i still made it all the way thru the workout. in fact, i felt pretty durned energetic--it was my feet that slowed me down! lol! they'll get used to it soon.

i've also been getting 2 or more servings of omega fats each day. i take fermented cod liver oil plus i have been eating walnuts, salmon, pumpkin seeds or flax seed each day!

becky--GREAT JOB on the bike riding! it seems like you're consistent with exercising which is awesome! the cell phone alarm's a good idea. since i started turbo jam i have been exercising right when i get up except for on the weekends, but now i think i'll do it late mornings. i just have more energy then and my workouts will be more productive! now i just need to DO IT!!

woohoo on the water, kris!! i invested in one of those nice stainless steel water bottles with a screw-on top and it's kinda like my little buddy these days--following me everywhere! LOL! i have a hard time remembering to drink when i get focused on other things, and it's bright orange so i cant miss it ;)

tina, how are your fruits and veggies comin?? :)

time for lunch so off i go!

Josey, that salmon recipe sounds good, and I don't like fish!

One thing I did that has helped me to get off my butt and exercise is to have an alarm on my cell phone go off at a certain time every day as a reminder to go exercise. I've never yet actually gone and exercised right when the alarm goes off, but it has still been a very good reminder that I need to do it. you can also set up daily appointments here on sparkpeople somehow...

yesterday I rode my bike 30 mins, and today I did housework for 10, and hope to go for a 10 min walk before I head to bed...

Sorry I have not logged on here to report. Life is crazy and I feel like I am just being dragged along for the ride. Well, yes, I have been getting better with the water. I am back to keeping a full gladd on my desk at all times and I am even bringing it with me when I go into other rooms. Talk to you later, I hope--Kris

tina--i'm sorry your cramps are intense! i dont know how the heck you mowed your yard with them, yikes! lol. but i hope the outdoor time with wyatt was refreshing and hopefully rejuvenating for you. (maybe you should have taken it a little easier tho--esp if you were light-headed later?) i find that doing something with my hands outdoors that gets my mind off my frustrations with pain/endo/etc...really is great therapy!

sounds like you're good to go on the water intake which is awesome!

becky and kris, how's it goin with you?

i have been struggling this week! it's emotional crap. i'm just sooo hard on myself and i HAVE to STOP IT! (STOPIT STOPIT STOPIT!!! like Bill Cosby says! LOL!) i need more than online support for my exercising. i need a real life buddy! i'll see what i can do. i may change my workout to mid-morning as well instead of first thing because it's just not working right now. anyone have suggestions?

my food's been pretty good, except i did have Taco Bell last night. oops! lol. only a couple crunchy tacos fresco style, but still, there's MSGs and trans fats in it...so moderation moderation! for lunch i had cold grilled salmon on baby spinach with some sesame oil, lemon juice, tamari and tahini that i mixed all together. it was delish!

and this morning i had a pb&j smoothie w/ground flax seeds and homemade yogurt. YUM!

Ok....didn't reply yesterday so here goes.....

Wed. - ate 6 tangerines and 1 banana
I walk around all day at work but am logging it as exercise, I know it's work and I need to go beyond that, but just saying.
Took my cod liver pills as usual and I take 2 Acai pills a day also.
Drank 1 huge glass of: Peach/Raspberry Live Active Water, that's what I like so I'll usually be logging that. I don't know what the calories are, but I can look. I mix 1 packet with a huge plastic cup of water. The directions say to mix with a regular sized plastic sports bottle, but I double that and drink.
I had to take 2 fizzy water medicines-alkaseltzer...is that what it's called? well I've had the congested cough crap too last 2 days.

Today: had 1 cup of coffee, a banana muffin, 4 slices of toast with butter and working on plain water, so far 2 glasses.
Took 2 cod liver oil pills and 2 Acai pills.
Had to take 2 Mydols for pain, not working and another Alkaseltzer pill...how do you spell that anyways?
I didn't go to work, pain galore, BUT I did happen to make it to mow our lawn which took a couple of hours pushing lawn mower.
Did some gardening, Wyatt helped:) cleaned out birdbaths and bird feeders and some some new twirly decos for outside.
Now: I'm in house typing on computer, needed a desperate break, I started feeling light-headed and a little dizzy.
My cramps on coming on really bad now too.

In case I don't long on here everyday, it's because I'm NOT feeling good, no excuses, just not feeling well.

let's go!!

well yesterday i had to do a little switching around! since Fred came monday and endo is flaring this month, i decided not to exercise yesterday and swapped my rest day (Friday) with yesterday. but i still had my cod liver oil and also some walnuts!

kris--did you get your water in yesterday? remember that cutting back on the juice will 1) save you tons of calories and 2) lessen the sugar in your diet which contributes to inflammation (not to mention fat storage). if you need some flavor, squeeze some fresh lemon in your glass and you'll be getting lots of vitamin C and also helping detox your liver and balancing your pH! whew! emoticon

tina! jump in any time! awesome that you already take cod liver. emoticon i have gotten to the point that if for some reason i dont take it for several days, i FEEL it. i either get moody or the endo pain starts creeping back. for me, it makes a HUGE difference! what will you be eating for fruits and veggies today?

becky, your workout sounds great. maybe since you're already exercising you can add something extra challenging thru this mini-challenge? like extra weight reps or push ups or something that's hard? hehe! you are on the right track!! we need your motivation, girl!! emoticon

I am doing really well with # 1&2...

.... starting working on #3, so that is what I will work on for this mini challenge. I walked on the tread mill 30 mins today, plus did one set of weights, plus a little bit of housework.

Maybe at some point in the future I'll be able to work on #4... just not yet...

I take cod liver oil pills already AND I will try for the 4 fruits and vege's a day.

I'll admit I just read this and it's 10:12pm at night, so I will continue on with fruits/veges tomorrow.

I am going to focus on the water intake. I have been slipping again. Yes, I am drinking it, but I have fallen into drinking juice more then the water. Both good, but not as good. Kris

okeedokee, i choose to do:

* Turbo Jam Learn & Burn every morning, first thing (about 20 minutes)

* 1-2 servings of omega fats every day

lots of little things add up to something big and great! i have to keep telling myself that!

how about a little mini-challenge to gear us up for the summer? emoticon

let's make it simple, but make it count! choose one (or more) of the following to complete each day starting Tuesday, April 21st through Thursday, April 30th :)

1.) 8+ emoticon

2.) 4+ emoticon &/or emoticon

3.) 10+ minutes emoticon (activity of your choice!)

4.) 1-2 svgs emoticon (healthy omega fat of your choice! fish, walnuts, olive oil, cod liver oil, etc...)

then check in as often as you can to update the team of the status of your goal!

anyone up for this little mini-challenge?? i am!! let's do it!
